Powell is not the reason for the loss. 6 runs off of 6 balls and men trying to hit the ball for six. Absolutely pathetic when it just took singles and maybe one boundary.

As to Powell's captaincy there has been not much wrong with his tactics and man management. It's the team selection thats deficient. No wicket taking new ball bowler in the line up. Mediocre and unfit fielders.

Question has to be asked why McCoy was continuously selected despite his non performance and lack of fitness when the squad has both Akeem Jordan and Simmonds as wicket taking new ball bowlers. Both swing the ball at greater pace than Mayers and Jordan is a decent bat too. Neither has got a game.

I said before that Royals was the only team to beat Amazons this year. they almost did it but for some flashes of stupidity at the end but this was one of the better matches of the tournament. AS for Amazons, their composure under pressure was magnificent big shout out to Motie who just continues to impress!! Amazons will be real hard to beat this year. They just keep finding players who can do the needful when it counts.
