Chemar Holder - his recovery journey
Chemar is standing all the expenses... Hopefully CWI could do this for some of our upcoming pacers.. Guys like Thorne, Pitman, Layne, Mckenny etc.
Guys like Oshane and Keemo (who is always breaking down) should also consider checking them out.

I was going to write a thread on it.
First heard of his recovery 4 weeks ago from Philo Wallace, last week Chemar was on the show, this week his coaches from the centre was on.
Saw some videos of his training last week, I wish him well.
This is what family should be, looking out for each other.

shouldn't cwi have some sort of facility for this....along the lines of India's National Cricket Academy? I honestly don't think a player should be paying for rehabilitation for an injury incurred in fulfilling his duties as a WI player

How was your session with the PM?

Yes WI should have a similar facility.. But that's not possible right now because they are broke.. So maybe the best option for them is to outsource.
Based on CWI past track record, they hardly look after players... Can't sit back and wait on them... Better off doing it yourself if you got the funds... that's why I'm saying guys like Keemo and Oshane should consider cheking them out... Will be beneficial to both of them in the long run (lots of franchise cricket out there).

Exactly. Remember Jerome Taylor. Ian Bishop, Corey Collymore. Three world class pace men left to salt

Chamar's family paid for his rehab.
He was on the Mason show last week, thanking his family.
BTW, the coach at the centre where he is at, was on the show yesterday, explaining the rehab process, he will be there until the middle of October.
Right after U19 WC 2015 in a social forum media post I made some points.
a. CWI should ask RSA for help regarding the bdevelopment of fastbowlers regarding biomechanics/fitness. And, if not we would see a vast difference in the careers of Josephs and Rabada.
b. I preferred Chemar to Jospephs as a fastbowler because his lengths seemed fuller and kissed rather than pound the deck as Alzari's often does.
Agreed that CWI should have a facility, but failing that, should have a panel of expert medical doctors in the region that they can call on for assistance for players. With proper medical insurance for players, that should be affordable. I wish Chemar good luck. As for paying for himself, the man is investing in himself. When fit, he will hopefully be in demand in some professional league and will be able to repay the cost of the treatment.
