Ronsford Beaton...

Larr Pullo 2023-09-18 15:57:44

IS QUICK!!!

Last night Beaton bowled a delivery to Carlos Braithwate. The second delivery to CB. It was timed at 150KPH!!! IT WAS DEFINITELY A LEGAL DELIVERY!!!

I hope the selectors don't slam the door on him and keep working with him so that his action doesn't get ragged under stress!!!

BeatDball 2023-09-18 16:38:36

He gets frustrated when he's wicketless...he has to remind himself that there's going to be hard times & then good times! Just practice & be fit...everything will fall in place.
cool

Not surprised with Beaton. I was more surprised that a little slim man like Shamar Joseph could be so much faster than big RTN and JHO!!

He has the right to pelt as a Guyanese… lol lol lol lol

Larr Pullo 2023-09-18 17:24:17

In reply to Barry

Naraine, Pollard and Cooper are not Guyanese and they pelted their entire career.

doosra 2023-09-18 17:28:10

In reply to mikelegend

Shamar's pace come from is fairly sound action and he has gotten more muscles since the regional 4 days....

he is a country man...plenty ground provision and fish and dem things big grin both he and Sheppy from Baracara

Barry 2023-09-18 18:12:33

In reply to Larr Pullo

Pollard does pelt too? You like Burnham- God tell you call him… why you don’t get a Guyanese rodent umpire to call Narine? Burnham would have done something like that… wink

Barry 2023-09-18 18:13:43

Beaton’s action doesn’t become ragged- he pelts to get wickets…. rolleyes

Larr Pullo 2023-09-18 18:16:14

In reply to doosra

Will be interesting to see next FC season, if he could sustain his pace over full spells. He's definitely promising though.

Larr Pullo 2023-09-18 18:17:38

In reply to Barry

If you could bowl at 150 KPH clean you just have to bowl in the right areas and the wickets will come. Pace forces mistakes.

Which is why the most corrupt country first sought him? At least he got help from TT… no help for Burnham’s sons lol

Barry 2023-09-18 18:44:03

If he is man go in a real country and pelt his 150 ball- 2017 will strike again

In a further distraction for the touring West Indies cricket side, fast bowler Ronsford Beaton has been reported with a suspect bowling action.

His action was raised in the match officials' report into the second ODI against the Black Caps in Christchurch on Saturday, in which the Windies were soundly beaten to go 2-0 down in the series.

The report, which was handed to the Windies' team management, cited concerns about the legality of the 25-year-old's bowling action.

cool

tbh i never thought he was chucking...everyone chucks once in a while. if bumrah and hassan rauf are bowling unmolested by international legislation, then beaton is ok

There are pelters and refine pleters across the region.

big grin lol big grin

Are you still with this nonsense that Bumrah pelts?

Especially after it has been explained to you on multiple occasions, on multiple threads, why he cannot and doesn't pelt?

This level of imbecility is mind boggling.

Is that Jeremy's Guyanese? You mean refine(d) right?
If its 'refine' it means that they are refining pelters - Which the Guyanese do not do...

big grin

Glad of this conversation...I could never put my finger on Sunil's bowling. I used to say that if he's pelting, then it's the most graceful pelting I have seen. But, you fellas described it perfectly - refined pelting. However, I will contradict myself, right now, by being a bobolee & ask...lemme ask it this way, does the man from Princess Town continually pelts? WI region nor ICC, never called him out...it's BCCI, ent?
confused

Barry 2023-09-18 23:26:07

beaton is an unrefined pelter
lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

As a matter of interest how quick was Joseph bowling… didn’t see the game & I know they don’t always show the speed gun reading.

He was in the 143 to 145 KPH range...

That’s encouraging to hear… he also skids off the wicket effectively adding a bit more pace..He bowled some pacy spells in the 4 day stuff earlier this year …One to keep an eye on.

anthonyp 2023-09-19 15:46:26

In reply to robbo

Looks far quicker than when he played in the 4 day... Put on some size too, mostly muscle so he is stronger.

For most of his four overs he clocked 140+..

Barry 2023-09-19 15:48:28

In reply to robbo

He pelted out people in the 4 day this year big grin

Looks like Lawson… big grin

Yes I’m sure I’ve seen a report about his fitness/training regime. He clearly takes the game very seriously. Very encouraging to hear that he is capable of high 80s touching 90 miles an hour. At least at this point for a few overs.

I will definitely be keeping an eye on him particularly in the four day game.

Barry 2023-09-19 20:54:45

Takes the game so seriously he pelts you out when he can’t bowl you lol lol lol lol lol lol
