CPL is BORING

Tkr and GAW rivalry is the only exciting thing coming out of cpl ,and as soon as warriors win that trophy. It's over

This is very VERY true. Some of the teams have been disturbingly woeful this season. Does not auger well for the product

BCCI needs to let some young Bharat talents play in the CPL

Without West Indians BharatPL is not much!

That’s just one of the adjustments that could be made.

Hey man. When Indian cricket was substandard for virtually the entirety of the 70s and 80s, we didn’t offer them help and they didn’t ask. Cannot rely on other people to solve your problems. We need a t20 tournament for developmental players. Let that be the feeder stock for the CPL franchises.
This is why even in its embryonic stage, the IPL sides were limited to four foreigners. It’s not only a cash cow, it finds, nurtures and develops young talent

I hate to use the Walton example but we have young talent we’re afraid to use for whatever reason. So I’m agreeing with you. We have the Sinclair youngsters mostly running water when big men going nowhere taking up spots.

Doh be afraid homie. Walton had no technique and relied on eyes. When that went, it was game over. I actually thought they’d have brought back Amir Jangoo from Talawahs. He barely gets opportunities anyways so instead of having him waste away on a bench, I thought they’d bring him back and play him in the opener position or one down. But the owners thought better I guess. And Evin Lewis doesn’t seem to have any interest in playing for TKR but he’s over 30 anyway.

That’s one of the inherent problems with the franchise system. Those owners want to win. I don’t think they really have any concerns about development. If the product sinks, they can just sell the team to someone who’s willing to pay. I doh even think they care about if WI stop producing talented players, that the CPL will go down faster than a pack of cards. That’s why I said at the start of the CPL that they should try to get local owners who may have a little more interest in Caribbean cricket than a foreigner. I see the owners of Warriors and Talawahs are ppl from the region. But I don’t think anybody else is

And is not like GT Warriors don’t have good local players. I’d have played Beaton in this game for sure. But as I said. I don’t think the focus is on development

They invested in Deyal and I think Jangoo was also capable of amazing returns.

Inside politics

Evin comes across as a prima donna

He was given everything including captaincy, hope he becomes humble and accept his role.

That is another problem with WI cricket. Too much politics. Destroyed Sarwan’s career, destroyed Jerome Taylor’s career, destroyed part of Gayle and Bravo’s career as well. An entire generation destroyed by talentless shirt and tie men. Prince the musician used to call them talentless merchants but if they were merchants, WI cricket may have at least been making money

It’s not just a franchise system issue…WI cricket selectors fell into the same big name trap not so long ago.

Let me give you a dutty rotten reality…in Guyana, journalism is political party based. No objectivity.

In WI cricket exists ZERO investigative journalism.

This message board serves as a kind of sporadic release of criticism and reality.

Is dem self I’m talking. I’ve never gotten over Sarwan’s dismissal. Never. And I felt it was targeted so that anybody who would be Chris Gayle’s friend or inclined to take his side was axed. That’s why I say that Sammy have rell blame to collect. Yes he won two T20 trophies( with two great sides) but by being a player captain( a player selected to captain a team) he caused unprecedented damage. It laid the template for what the big idiot did after. In other words, we weren’t as shocked when he did it
