I have never seen such sustained rain in 24 hours.
Hopefully this will end soon.
Dis one will wash out di current government.
Last night helicopters had to rescue 24 peeps in St Thomas.
I cannot imagine what is going on in Haiti right now because it is seriously bad here.
This is a massive disaster. Expect loss of live and nuff houses coming down.

I have lived in Jamaica for decades
I cannot believe the JFF has not called off the match for tonight. Watch confusion.

Any lightning?

If the field is too heavy with rain it will hamper the the Reggaeboyz speed,I don't know much of the Canadian team, but for sure it won't help Yard.It may or could still be called off because the ground may be heavy with all the rain.

Stadium under water - looks like the match will be played tomorrow.
Will confirm in a few.

Earlier this afternoon but not now. Field waterlogged
In reply to Brerzerk
OK that does it - thunder and lightning back

1. What speed and how have they applied it in the past to nullify the opposition?
2. Your statement seems to indicate the opposition does not have comparable speed, what is this based on?
3. Could this talk about Jamaican speed be a misnomer? I have seen countless left sided players run by Javon Brown and others on the right side. Pinnock, Bernard, Bell, Lattibudierre, Nicholson are slow players. Pinnock is quite astute. Jamaica in track and field has some athletes in some events that are as fast as or faster than their sporting counterparts, these track athletes do not play for the JFF team. We need to stop this asinine extrapolation.
It is a misnomer akin to all American football players have "world class speed"
The amount of water currently (as of 1 hour ago) on the field and athletic track will render this game a "no-go" for the next 3 hours or so.

I was watching this for a week so I stayed home from mid-morning yesterday - we are lucky it didn’t become a TS or hurricane. Nuff nuff water - rain still pelting. Expect massive damage and loss of life.
In reply to JoeGrine
And rain is still pelting and I mean pelting
I realize that this is about flights and all that but it is madness to think about playing tonight - that will not happen

CONCACAF will have to get creative here and there is no getting around, as you hinted, this costing them in their pockets. Perhaps tomorrow morning (how will the European clubs react to that as it would mean two games in a short period of time) but I cannot see any football being played tonight.
UPDATE - 11:00am tomorrow is being considered as game time.
FINAL UPDATE - Game time, 10:30am tomorrow (Saturday) morning.
