By Walt Whitman...but seen for the first time by me in a short lip from Ted Lasso
"Be curious, not judgmental"
The world is so different now compared to the one I grew up in. Dealing with Gen Z folks requires paradigm shifts.

i take it you view curiosity as a judgement-free 'thing'?

Nope.
Curiosity is open mindedness to some degree to learn and attempt to understand.
But its a better place to start before judgment. I suppose a more precise version would be....curiosity before judgment. Then we get into what does 'judgment' mean..and who can rightfully judge ?

how on God's green earth is being curious judgmental or contains any element thereof?

to be curious (instead of to be in some other state) is already an act of judgement...

be curious, not judgmental
is therefore paradoxical
cheeks this is just a fun exercise...i understand the general thrust of what you are getting at

Curious
eager to know or learn something.
"I began to be curious about the whereabouts of the bride and groom"
eager to know or learn something.
"I began to be curious about the whereabouts of the bride and groom"
has the definition changed recently?

curious and to "be curious" are not one and the same
eager to know or learn is not the same as 'i began to..."
