WI A 46/0 at the close ….
Tage 27* McCaskie 17*…
Good controlled bowling by Seales.
I only managed to see seales first three overs of the day, but I have to say I was impressed. He didn’t take a wicket in those three overs but could easily have picked up a couple.
He was zipping the ball around off the seam both ways and beat the bat pretty regularly. I’m glad he ended up picking up three wickets. It’s good to see him getting back to form because recently I’ve been quite disappointed and worried about his form and lack of wickets.
In reply to robbo
Totally agree!! I hope that both Seales and Alzharri hit their straps CONSISTENTLY when they get to Ozzieland.
In reply to robbo
I thought he was the best bowler on show and definitely can't wait to see him playing test cricket,he should have got 5 instead of 3 wkts.i am not sure why de Silva bowled K.Hodge for 9 or 10 overs,he never looked like getting a wicket, maybe in our regional cricket he can but outside of the Caribbean he will only give batsmen sighters.
Seales like Keemo is definitely better with the red ball than with the white ball. I would not pressure either of them to play too much white ball cricket.
In reply to PalsofMine
I think it was good for Seales as well because he hasn't played red ball in almost a year.
He's signed for Sussex as well so he's going to be playing plenty of fc cricket over the next 12 months.
Good 50 by Drepaul.

Poor captaincy... bringing Spinner...Hodge....14 runs ...
Lewis has bowled just 11 overs...
In reply to ray
And yuh have peeps here thinking the IPL matches are clean.
Poor umpiring - nuff decisions went against us
250 all out
WI need 224
Good bowling Akeem
We have about nine overs to face
11 overs to go
If jordan could get more pace he could be a real wicket taker for the wi moves the ball both ways and can hold a bat
Really like the captaincy of Josh. Putting honesty and integrity above all else is very humbling and it is in line with true Windies style especially in the glory years.
Watched the game today and from what I could see this group are very much up for the battle and have a very solid team ethic.
This is not by any means a poor SA squad as they are all fighting for a place in the test squad for the upcoming tour of NZ. Missing some front line players due to t20 contracts
Well done boys and some real red ball talent on display especially in the pace bowling.
In reply to Conorboy
I hope to look at a bit of the day's play tonight on Youtube but based on what you say about Josh's captaincy, plus Aljo's aggression in Super50 and Young's leadership from in front in WIA, we seem to have some good young leadership potential in the region. That is very heartening.
In reply to velo
Forget about getting more pace but work on moving the ball around and he will eventually be a top allrounder.
Thus far the creditable performances have been from:
Two pacers: Seales
Jordan
Spinner: Sinclair
Two batsmen: Chanderpaul
Hodge
Now for some CONSISTENCY!!!
Disappointed thus far by McAllister…pace seems to be down on a responsive wicket.
In reply to mikelegend
Now to see who can play spin for a full day.
This is gettable but…hope they get the runs.
In reply to Chrissy
Captain’s knock from DaSilva is crucial. Along with repeat solid batting performance from Hodge and Chanders, should see them over the line
Top order batters have to score bulk of runs.....Tage, McKenzie, McCaskie et al.....One of top 3 score century.......win comprehensively...We can...We surely will!!!!!
Early demise of McCaskie.....oops!!!
McKenzie needs to prove me wrong.

Sa batsmen average in their 40 s at first class level and wi batsmen average in their early 30s and 20s on flat pitches .if they win a match on this tour i would be happy but im not holding out hope.
Di entire team is playing spin like di former director of cricket.
This is pathetic
91 to win- three wickets
at least they were competitive for 3 days. This is a prime example of lack of winning. They just do not know how to go about gaining a victory when they are on top unless the other side implodes, which does not happen regularly in international cricket. Unfortunately that is where at least one experienced player may have helped the A team but we now understand that the Selectors want to give youths guns and send them into battle.

Sinclair makes runs ...takes wickets....fighting to the end.
Great match! Scrapping for singles. Learn the game West Indies batsmen. Kevin Sinclair is a very competent and composed player with solid technique.

Now Dessie's call for young players will be praised by his supporters
Very nice. Getting accustomed to winning is important
In reply to jacksparrow
and winning in that particular way shows real character.
We won!!!! Yesssssss!!!!! HOWEVER…it should not have been so difficult. Keep fighting Sinclair!
In reply to Narper
I turned everything off at tea, to see this thread it is a delight to read of the fight.
Over 100 runs were needed, and the Commie said Akeen Jordan and Kevin Sinclair were the last recognized pair, well so many fans on the broadcast site are shocked, and so am I.
I confess I didn't expect a win
We won. Pleasantly surprised. Congratulations.
In reply to hubert
He really got a good batting head this aint' the first time I've seen him put his head down and bat
Want to see more of it coming
