nick2020 Good day, you need to modify slightly your approach to converting the dotards. You ask the pertinent questions regularly - that's great. But you must also show them plenty love and avoid being antagonistic. They will eventually see the light of day.

Yes it is. Proudly ignorant and wilful deniers hard to inform much less convince. Ignorance and arrogance aren't great bedfellows.

One day someone will do a detailed study on the level and type of 'jadedness', dissatisfaction with your lot in life and disillusionment that creates the folk who see DJT as any kind of leader.

Part of it is jadedness, dissatisfaction and disillusionment, but another major part of it is single issue (perceived self interest) voters who care about nothing else but tax cuts, abortion, guns, etc. Those type will tolerate Trumps shortcomings because he will "give" them the only thing they care about.
