I wonder if any of the pilots or air traffic controllers were minorities

Trump is Blaming The DC Midair Collision on DEI
In reply to Walco
"You can fool some of the people some of the time. But you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
In reply to Walco
I was listening to a TV call-in show that morning and there were a few callers who were blaming it on DEI also. These people have a problem with any one of color being in a position of supervision even though they do not even know anything about the people in position
In reply to SnoopDog
You can also fool some of the people all of the time ...
In reply to dayne
It's ok to be unqualified and incompetent if you are white. But the same is definitely not true for minorities
Imagine if a Dem Prez &Senate had installed a Pete Hesgeth and this happened shortly after. Fox, Congress an' dem would be foaming even though both things were unrelated

"Leadership 101: Do not speculate without facts."
That is all there is to it.
Yet here we are, subjected to the reckless ramblings of a president who seems utterly incapable of grasping this basic principle.
Instead of offering clarity or accountability, we’re met with baseless speculation and inflammatory rhetoric that does nothing but sow confusion.
And if that weren’t enough, the constant, lazy fallback of blaming the previous administration—without presenting a shred of factual evidence—is as pathetic as it is transparent.
This isn’t leadership; it’s cowardice masquerading as authority.
A true leader takes responsibility, owns their decisions, and faces challenges head-on.
The exact opposite is what we are seeing: a flagrant display of incompetence and a total disregard for responsibility."
Four more years of this moron...
In reply to Walco
Robert Greene in The 48 Laws of Power said a great leader never takes blame and instead he / she should always give the public someone else to blame
He just fired a bunch of competent people...what does he expect?
Asshole
This is apparently the chaos that brings about amazing things as a side effect
Yes it is reported that the Trump administration has fired over 100 supervisors at the Federal Aviation Administration since they took office ten days ago and have placed a hiring freeze on the FAA although they know that the FAA need about 1000 more flight traffic controllers to operate safely. So, the Trump Administration might be claiming DEI to deflect from their own screw-up.
He says he has 'common sense' to blame DEI without any evidence. Sigh.
F*ck all of you assholes who twisted yourself into all kinnah contortions to support this asshole. You KNEW the indecent, poor excuse for a human being this guy has proven himself to be over and over and over again.
In reply to Cheeks
Hey, mate, that was very acerbic
What gives?
In reply to sudden
Didn't you hear that all the pilots involved in the crash were black women transvestites Mexicans?
In reply to SnoopDog
I don’t know any plane crashes that didn’t involve that category of people as pilots, air traffic controllers, mechanics etc
merica problems.
In reply to SnoopDog
I think you forgot to make an adjustment to the last part of that statement, cuz apparently you can fool a certain segment of the people all the time.
In reply to dayne
I didn't know that all those firings took place at the FAA but it makes sense that Trump getting ahead of his chaos and incompetence by blaming it on a scapegoat that he know his supporters will eat up.
In reply to carl0002
And the media and everyone else eats it up.
Look at this thread. Instead of the focus being on his EO which fired all the competent people at the FAA as well as gutting the aviation safely advisory committee, the conversation is about him blaming "DEI".
If Biden had signed an EO like this and an accident happened shortly afterwards the Republicans would have been frothing at the mouth and drafting articles of impeachment.

Vix has the answer

But apparently this echo chamber can't handle the multiple, different perspective and diverse source of that answer.

"You can fool some of the people some of the time. But you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
The perversion of truth is absurd and obvious
In reply to sudden
What gives?
Some people need acerbity so that they know how you feel about them.

Central Park 5, Black Jobs, Byron D is a good ONE, DEI crashed the plane (sans any sort of investigation) , C for colored on apartment applications, eating cats and dogs...and these f..kkers grinning.. "we loves you Massa Trump."
Shameless pack a skunts.

Why isn't the name of the female helicopter pilot disclosed?!
In reply to BeatDball

In reply to Walco
Is there evidence otherwise? I'm just asking as it's merican problems.
Beatheballs, hope you got your answer!

I think one reason why Trump blame DEI responsible for the crash was because he knew the co-pilot was a female pilot

Adding dis to dis thread
The rumor Musk created the post was true. He posted (archived) the message on Jan. 9, 2024, in response to a user who, according to NBC News, speculated United Airlines pilots who went to historically Black colleges and universities would score lower than the average of IQ of Air Force pilots. That user later deleted their post.
The post resurfaced following a deadly midair collision between an American Airlines plane and an Army helicopter in Washington on Jan. 29, 2025. The incident claimed the lives of all 67 people aboard both aircraft. Within hours, President Donald Trump and other members of his administration baselessly blamed diversity hiring and DEI as a potential factor leading to the collision.

LOL.
This whole thing has become a fascinating social science informal case study. DJT's minority supporters include the following:
1. Colored businessmen who see him as some kind of hero because of his wealth ...and said businessmen want to be like him and don't have the capacity nor work ethic to deal with nuances like DEI and treating workers fairly...well because they are trying to maximize profit. So in essence their greed drives them to support a lying, dishonest, xenophobic racist while dishonestly leaning on LGBGT etc. Fellas like Bravos and 'Inblindsight' and apparently Snoop and Nelly fall into this wanna-be mogul category. What is sad..is that DJT is very clear about how little he respects them...but in true bobolee style they worship him. He thinks that they need to stick to sports, entertainment, fruit picking and other forms of manual labor. ie black jobs. He will never respect dem skunts.
2. 'Christians' ...there are the effin worst...they have totally abandoned the philosophy of the Good Samaritan, loving your neighbor, welcoming strangers over fake outrage over the less than 10 transgender athletes in college sports in the Yoo ESS Aye. Btw...that 'less than 10' compares to over 500K athletes in total.
3. Latinos, Filipinos and other Asians who think they are 'white adjacent' and prefer to be subjects of Trump and his ilk.
The right wing whites have merely circled their wagons after radicalization on platforms like X and Joe Rogan's podcast.
Quite a motley crew.
In reply to Cheeks
Well said
In reply to VIX
Are you asking if there is evidence that the collision was not caused by DEI?
In reply to Walco
Nah, I'm asking of the learned pon here just what the evidence shows.
