Sarwan: A Test of my Character
West Indies vice captain Ramnaresh Sarwan says he was "surprised and disappointed" at being dropped from the side for the second Test against Pakistan but vows to learn and grow from the experience."I see this disappointment as only making me stronger. I have gotten over much worse than this in my life and my career and overcoming this obstacle is not going to be any different for me," the right-hander said in a diary entry.
"I have done it in the past so this is just another test of my character. I am working hard as usual and whenever given the opportunity again I will try my utmost to ensure that I use it wisely," Sarwan added.
"A friend had always told me that the greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time you fall. This bit of advice is especially poignant at this time."
