Win, lose or draw at Sabina, West Indies captain Brian Lara would be best serving himself and the team by now handing over the reins to vice-captain Ramnaresh Sarwan.
That's the suggestion from veteran writer/broadcaster Tony Cozier, who believes the time is perfect for Sarwan to assume the captaincy for the upcoming tour of England.
The President of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Teddy Griffith has questioned whether there is a link between the prevalence of injuries to leading cricketers and the volume of international cricket being played.
After citing medical studies on cricketers from three of the Test playing countries, Mr Griffith asked: "Could it be that there is too much of a good thing? Could it be that the stresses and strains of non-stop international competition are having an effect on the injury-levels?"

Having experienced the value of a specialist bowling coach during his debut tour to Zimbabwe and South Africa, teenage West Indies fast bowler Ravi Rampaul believes the position should be filled on a fulltime basis.
"I would like to see a fulltime bowling coach indeed because, in Zimbabwe and South Africa, Kenny Benjamin was there and he helped me a whole lot. With the young fast bowlers coming up I am sure it would be a good investment to have with the team for him to assist the young fast bowlers," Rampaul said.
