In reply to pelon
I have a coupe bottles of Ron Zacapa, The 21 and a 12 El Dorado (the best IMO), a bottle of under the table Bitterwood, a set of Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, some Sangria, a Guava rum punch and two sorrel rum punches, and a Benriach 16 Malt whisky.
People bring their own beers. I am not a beer man though I have some Cider in the downstairs.
In reply to pelon

In reply to jcveletta
Very health. Extremely important to get fiber and vitamins from fresh fruit! Keep it going.
Put some strong rum (1 oz) in it if longevity is what you seek.
In reply to pelon
cool! which one you recommend?
In reply to jcveletta
you must know the first rule: moderation. After that, Sunset from SVG
did I mention moderation?
In reply to pelon
The things does vex me, I can't find
some a the real good stuff at the LCBO here in Toronto.
I refuse to drink/pay for some a the North American piss they sell here and call it liquor.
That's why I prefer for a good drink to go for single malt scotch.
Anyway, I hear Santa giving me a bottle of El dorado 12.
In reply to pelon
6 cases of Guinness
i see you inviting me..or is this me inviting myself

In reply to eXodus
Like u is a 1 more for the road man
In reply to pelon
Never knew about that one. I see it is a hit!
It might even work... the sorrel can mask the beer taste, and the beer can mask the sorrel taste!

Red Stripe Sorrel
I do mi own sorrel drink - spiced with rum and pimento seeds. One can get the peeled Sorrel red fruity segments in good amounts via NYC (my aunt ships it to me via post/UPS) ...
dat sorrel beer sounds interesting
In reply to eXodus
Anytime. Door open. np and muhself got Guinness on lock - but when de evening drinks start mine is always Tanqueray and Tonic with lime...
np: niceness... I never had it spiced with pimento seed - so yuh must share that family heirloom recipie nuh!
In reply to pelon
Yes bro Pelon .. the pimento seed adds a distinct flavor - dont crush the seed just use it as is ... I know somw folks add a few rice grains to the sorrel too after it is done ... to speed up the fermentation process and add some new "low level" alcohol via that process.
A couple recipes --
with rice grains
Sorrel Drink.

In reply to pelon
Only 45 years of El Dorado and you want throw party? Narper could go through that in about 15 minutes....5 minutes for every fifteen years....
In reply to pelon
You ever had the bulldog gin?
Not a bad thurst quencher with club soda. I like the seagram lime twist too, but I can't get it at the DAM, FRIGGIN LCBO here.
In reply to RemainsUnknown
Ummm all them beers pale in comparison to the cheapest beer you could get here in De.
Just saying....
In reply to Larr Pullo

Bumping this up...
Pelon, I just had some sorrel with black cat, (Suriname rum) XTREMELY goooooood!
Of course, when I use to mention
Black Cat to Cricket_Jumbie, he use to tell me we talking of drinking, not eating.
In reply to tops
Never had Rum from Suriname, but I here on the last couple of days of vacation making merry.
Had some Single Malt to keep the night dew at bay about 3 minutes ago - but drank too much Sunset infused sorrel during de day.
What would you compare/describe Suriname rum to?
In reply to RemainsUnknown
Very comprehensive list dere. You leave no room for error.
In reply to pelon
All that "fat talk" and I only had a few shots JW Black with a buddy; 1 shot of the JW gold, and a few shots of Pinch (the whiskey).
the holiday is young yet... another week to go tho.....
In reply to pelon
Hope you had a joyful Christmas, I have reduce my intake of hard-liquor, having drank any since September,
Wine is now my beverage going forward with the occasional Heineken or Stella.
In reply to np
It is out of this world delicious and the fact dat mi former student wrote the article is even nicer - he's also a former Guild President.
In reply to pelon
Let's put it this way, I drink it for sentimental reason...

Nothing really to write home about or get excited over, only when you get for free.

But it tastes good with the sorrel

I hope you are enjoying the holiday bro, I have to go help one of my sisters drink some of her stuff today and tmr I have to go help another one do the same.

Smart man....you cannot afford a DWI
In reply to pelon
You know suh, is a good thing I have a little sympathy for people...One of my sister is moving and I pass by she place last Sat...She saying she don't gat place to put a bottle of 12 years appleton, a 10 years XM and a cherry brandy. Well, I had to help she out, right?
I think under the circumstance, was the proper thing to do.
I may have to pass back to see if she has more of those problems.
In reply to tops
Keep the cherry brandy for when she visits. De rest should not gather cobweb.
In reply to pelon
Well, I put some lash on the XM yesterday.
I want to try the appleton with sorrel.
In reply to pelon
I just tried some home made sorrel with that Patron XO Cafe. Boom!
Picked up a 21 years el dorado yesterday.
Will be trying it today.
