WHat do you think happens to players who stay playing in fc cricket. They regress. Visibly so.

Equally, most of the spinners can barely buy a wicket when they encounter true cricket wickets.

After this season these guys will be together. Its no coincidence that the guys with the better trechniques have been the ones who attended HPC. Give them a year to really just play cricket and next season will be the first test of the new structure.

There was a generation of players still playing regional cricket who were good. Success bred success.

No surprise. I gave the Sweden example in tennis. When they were churning out winners, another one was always emerging, Now? Not one Swedish player in the top 300, and no grand slam since 2002. Who woulda thunk.

No...its a cycle that only a very few nations and sports programs can avoid.

In the midst of that you have a whole world trying to get better too.

Playing more cricket will help, but the best thing is playing cricket against better people. The quicker we can one and done regional players, the better.

The ESPN3 coverage isn't available for everyone. It's tied only to ISPs that have agreements with ESPN. I'm not sure how ESPNPlay works.
