actually I have no problem with forward movement. But if you want to win matches then certain veterans come into play.
The feeling among Bajans is that they are more happier about the young lions coming to the fore than winning titles.
I am exceedingly happy about the Barbados batting. Centuries under their belt at this level and assured spots makes young players like Chase,Hope,Brooks and Dowrich confident and to me they are the backbone of future Barbados batting.
It means that the selectors have solid players among the batting they can rely on.

Tino Best Test ave 40 , FC ave 28
Edwards Test ave 38 , FC ave 33
.......people want to pick them???, and then complain WI cricket is SHITE, those type of players are the reason, taking spaces of younger players who may or may not become test class whilst showing themselves to be incompetant at test level and average at best in regional cricket.

Those are bad FC averages?
Edwards I have time for, Best is a waste of space.
I believe Edwards can still be a 5-fer man at the highest level

I am disappointed with the treatment of Ryan Hinds this year, but he cause it on himself over the years, I really dont think some of the youngsters want him around.
Following the tournament, you will see Cummins being used more than Tino, so that also say something about where the team is going.
You will also notice Kirk Edwards is still selected, he is part of the young brigade going forward.
Fidel and Tino, were inconsistent over the years, they talk about bowling fast, but was unable to bowl on good length or command a place on the West Indies team.
I can only hope the youngsters work and train smart, think before airing their laundry and let the batting, bowling and fielding speaks for them.

Tino and Fidel are not Garner, Wes or Pedro or Collymore, these two could not even command a place on any West Indies team, so it is time to move on.

That maybe the mindset of the coaches
Springer may have been arund too long, time for a new management and coaches.

You dont back bite, when you in the position Dessie is in with the Trident, he tells the owners who he prefer for his coach, just like he did with the draft.
BTW, The Trident and The Pride are two different franchises, which make the hiring of coaches quite interesting.

I still think Edwards can trouble batsmen and should be picked, he's no worse than the majority of seamers around the Region.
Tino Best, well he looks like he's done. When's the last time he put in a match winning performance as a frontline pacer.

Dessie is my friend, but Saturday I had to let him know what I think of him.......it is not what yuh frigging do, it is how you do it, but like the man tell him to his face, when yuh give a black man power the only body he could fuck-up is another black man, but from your distance, I will not expect you to know what is going on here, you rely on your so called reliables, who most of the time is not as reliable as the weather men,.......Desmond do the man nasty as hell......it is a real true saying, money, it does mek more than a mare fly..............and doan be fooled by the draft, he was not calling no shots.....doan get tie up......he then went to see if he could work a trade to get Kyle Mayers.........look...I done, ask your reliables to tell you the story........chances are they know a story.....
BTW...you know that Springer is the Director of Coaching with the BCA right?

Fidel was always top 3 bowler
He was sidelined by injuries, then his choice of the IPL, and the strange choice of Sammy for captain meant one less space for a genuine bowler, then the strange preference for Gabriel and the emergence of Roach and Holder have kept him out of the reckoning.
Its always been one thing or the other with Castro, but fitness has been his biggest enemy

I am aware of Springer's position within the BCA, what I am not up to date with is the Trident and Pride ownership and management.
The BCA seem to be in-charge of the Pride, I am not sure who is in-charge of the Trident.

This is not the first time I heard these kinda comments coming from seniors....my question to cherri is:
WHY THESE OLDER MEN AROUND CRICKET ALWAYS WORRYING ABOUT DE YOUNG CRICKETERS AND THEIR AFFAIRS WITH WOMEN?
sounds like jealousy to me!

I doan know if they're jealous or not, not my business, what I know is that most of the time the youngsters doan prove them wrong........I was at the Oval over the week-end and outside of Kraigg, Brooks and Hope and one or two others, all the Bajan fellas got children already or have them on the way, there must be something to what the oldsters are saying...........these fellas now starting their careers......Jealousy you say.........oh well.........
