if you look at their first six test matches....Bravo 4 fifties in those innings and Blackwood 1 TON and 3 fifties....the future looks bright for Blackwood to be only behind KB fuh de next 10 years!!!

Blackwood better than Lil Bravo....
In reply to WestDem
Why not all three of them in the same team building chemistry and forming a solid batting line up?
In reply to powen001
Key words there is 'team building'....nat sure Lil Bravo strong enough fuh building a 'team'
In reply to powen001
Thank u Powen.
In reply to WestDem
I was waiting for this...but i thought it would be a yardie not a muddie trouble maker.
The 3 B's will replace the 3W's
Lil bravo just needs to get his facting act together. WI need more runs from him, dazall. If he can consistently score, opposition gwine ball fuh murda!! Get it fellas - BCL!
In reply to WestDem
Blackwood success would force him to focus. If his average drops below 38 drop he skunt.
In reply to methodic
After he was good before?
All in all Powen right; de future looks brighter than it ever has. And if this Shai Hope is as good as the coaching staff think he is...
In reply to BeatDball
If, If, If....dat is all!!!

In reply to nick2020
Shai Hope look very ready fuh dat # 3 position!!!
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Am I that wrong with starting this thread?
In reply to WestDem
no you aint...and because YOU started it...it has credibility ...weak as a premise as it is...so there.
In reply to WestDem
Further...Gayles sitting out means that the selectors have to DO THEIR JOBS and find a FUTURE team on which to build.
Bravo is all mental re his lapses...he needs to be hungry like his cousin and instill that sense of a WARRIOR...and yes I dont like comparing him to LARA but at least garner an idea of the HISTORY of playing against these nations and how your predecessors were treated and talked down to by them...find a spark in your psyche to represent the diaspora...and if that cant wukk then get selfish and play for glory for yourself...
In reply to powen001
Tell dat rass fuzzy dat sometimes as jokey something sound, they can be true....premise may be weak to you and others that oppose my view but it does not make it wrong....Lil Bravo should be dominating and should have already establish himself as our number uno batsman but....hmmmmm
In reply to WestDem
thats WHY you are the best man to sell it..
You have actually not said anything UNTRUE...it forces posters to think after they done smile...unfortunately Fuzzy not really known for going past the surface of many things...so already this post will confuse him.
In reply to powen001
Fuzzy is a good man but sometimes I think he afraid to post de truth here due to regional fear!
In reply to WestDem
Powen got an unfair advantage when it comes to going past the surface.
He closer.
In reply to WestDem
its called f e a r of men...but I aint discussing he...the idea you posted warrants robust discussion and I can see the fors and against...after all...I on the fence ...most of the time.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy.. everything wa gwaan a faarrin the Yaadie get the blame.
In reply to powen001
Hope de wind nat blowing slightly Northeast and a likkle strong cause dem Trinis gonna mek sure yuh fall off de fence fuh dis one...
In reply to methodic Bang on. Well said.
The truth is that right now...Bravo Jnr has some real issues in his head that is preventing him from solidifying his status as our number 1 batsman. He also has technical issues outside his off stump and with his concentration. Similar to Blackwood in a way. But Bravo looks like a more accomplished batsman than Blackwood. Bravo really should be farther along than he is now. Should be a top 10 batsman in tests and ODI's by now with his talent. But the most talented of men sometimes never reach to their potential. We can only hope this does not happen to young Darren and that Blackwood and Brathwaite can inspire him to greater and greater. Imagine the irony, a Bajan, a Trini and a Jamaican being the underpinnings of a West Indian Batting revival.
In reply to dale_staple
thats my concern too...the incident with former cappo exposed an inability to cope that caught me by surprise...those things cannot be separated from ones ability to concentrate on the task at hand.
He is not alone with inconsistency but I agree...Bravo should be in our top tier batsmen by now.
We cannot keep losing talented players cause they cant focus...need i start a list and get the angst from the Xavier Marshall and Adrian Barath fans?
In reply to WestDem
you don't know jack about cricket...
In reply to dale_staple
Bravo is one of the worst batsmen in ODI cricket, and that's not a joke. He has one of the worst strike rates since 2011(top 3).
In reply to Devin
And that is my problem with him Devin. He should be a lot farther along in both disciplines by now. But he is a headcase. As Powen said, we have a litany of talented young men who are just head cases. Who simply have brain freezes and cannot perform when called upon so to do. I compare our young talents to young men like Jordan Spieth who won the Masters and 21 on Sunday and came second last year at 20. He has some serious mental cojones.
Say whatever you all want about Blackwood, but the kid has heart and guts. You do not score 4 50's and a 100 in your first 6 matches by guess.
In reply to dale_staple
That is it in a nutshell....I don't blame Bravo's regression on the WICB, he is a professional and should know dat there is a need to live up to the hype dat came with him....

In reply to WestDem
After a long time I am excited about the Batting... K.Brathwaite, Lil.Bravo and Blackwood. If only Hope and Dowrich can grow we surely have a core to work with.
I seriously dont care who out of these would be the best but I would want each one of them to be good enough to form a core team for the future.
In reply to Pacy
Me too but it seems dat Lil Bravo mental issue is worse than Sarwans...Hope is gonna push him to the limit and before yuh know it, they will select Hope....Dorwich regional performance this year was excellent...Ramo need to mek runs consistently otherwise, he cork duck....Dorwich can mek this team as a batsman...
We need to stop comparing players at every stage of their career and just let them be the best they can be. It serves no purpose than to further marginalize the players...
And there it is
That's what this whole thread is about.
Sarwan tabanca.

In reply to imusic
This is nat about Sarwan tabanca dude...its about the reality of what is happening infront of all our eyes...Lil Bravo moonwalking faster than MJ.....accept de darn truth!
In reply to WestDem
Like de gramoxone real callin yuh name sah
In reply to imusic
I have something stronger dat dat...it is called Potash...yuh want some?
