There's really only two things of importance here:

1. Did his friend really screw the girl and

2. Did he screw her while Wawrinka was on duty

The rest of it yuh can file under the category "mout mek fi talk".

The best answer Wawrinka could have given Kyrgios was to send him packing from the tourney....instead Stan lost his cool and end up playing a pile of rubbish faking and injury and retiring hurt.....Wawrinka was the punk if you ask me...

Sad to see the responses on this thread. Obviously most of you don't understand how important etiquette has always been in Tennis. The ATP said they COULD suspend him for three years with a maximum fine of $100,000. That was according to a reporter on ESPN, Prim Siripipat.

He's already been fined $12,500.

Navratilova calls for tougher punishment

This isn't the fu#king NBA or NFL.

Devin 2015-08-14 21:56:58

Further sanctions a possibility

no one is saying that what the kid did wasn't unsportsmanlike....he even admitted it himself...but still Wawrinka's best response would have been to beat him off the court then complain about his behavior...not throw in the towel then complain....sorry but I have come to expect a more mature response from Wawrinka....

I agree with u 100%, iyah. Wawrinka should have beaten him and then complained.

The kid is definitely a punk but what's real is real. Everything else is just bullshit.

Its just that whole Australian crap of sledging that he has taken from the Aussie cricketers and brought to the tennis courts.

Patrick Rafter and Mark Phillipousis, both Australian, were two of the most classy Tennis players of their time, perhaps he should take a page out of their books.

"We're not used to that kind of talk in tennis. I know in other sports it's quite common, maybe normal. Not in our sport, really.

I don't feel particularly sorry for Wawrinka, given he's dumped his wife for a young tennis playing girlfriend

"No, Stan does not lose matches because of our separation, said to be painful, because it has been already five months since his triumphant return at Davis Cup," she said in French. "His decision to leave, for the second time, his family did not stop him from to winning the tournament in Chennai and having more or less, very good results.

"No, trips and tournaments are not the cause of our separation. Besides, other players, ranked higher than him, handle family life very well. His instability, desire to regain his freedom—at all levels—are the source. And I have to admit the repeated fibs and emotional betrayals eventually destroyed entirely the confidence I had in him."

I believe they have a five year old child, Alexia, who's the real victim in all this....
cool

hotarobin 2015-08-19 21:56:33

are you folks really serious? you are condemning a child over and over again for making a....childish remark...

all ya cussing him and calling him all kinds of names.....really??

Devin Nick Kyrgios is a TEENAGER!! Many of you have done the same things or far WORSE as teenagers and even as adults!!!

The only difference is that he is a famous tennis player and you aren't....

Get a grip and keep it in context...

Hopefully Nick will grow up quickly and focus on his game, put this behind him and not repeat it again...
