Match starts in 90 minutes.
Don't be so negative.
In the meantime.....Grenada and Haiti tied at 0-0 in the 30th minute in Haiti. Grenada needs to win by 3 clear goals to advance. Tough ask

Jamaica playing without a midfield. I don't think they can continue playing backs and forward and not concede
Jamaica should go full pressure now and play three in the back.
In reply to methodic
Jamaica advances
That guy who scored is JA best midfielder with the ball, he had a bad match last game and he was left out the stating 11

Win 2.0.

Indeed
Truth be told The Sandinistas dominated the game
Reggae Boyz got lucky
In reply to methodic
He ent our best middie bro. He got left out because he kept starting as striker and kept on not scoring. First goal in years now? JA lucky nuh rass, but di hard work start now!
Joker management need to start scouting teams and doing research and stop being so damn WIndian. WI cricket team mgmt, that is.
In reply to vulcan
Can't argue with that...Reggae Boyz got some unlucky breaks in the 1st Leg though...
In reply to FanAttick
Just like the first game, they backed off and decided to defend in numbers then gave up goals.
Truth be told, Nicaragua players just couldn't go the distance in both games, you have to give Jamaica props for keeping up the pressure throughout. They were physically better.
I wouldn't call it lucky really. Although Jamaica's tactics seems a bit off in the return leg, it could be they were playing to plan knowing Their opponents would not last physically.

Correct is right.

What would we do without Mattocks, sah? What on earth? Him deflate the USA, Him save wi face against Mehico, and ignite some life into these two legs. 4 goals in the last 4 games.
In reply to JahJah
Bro he is not a striker, Barnes and Mattocks started as strikers last game. He plays in the middle. whenever Jamaica is keeping the ball he is involved
In reply to methodic
Barnes is the midfielder though...more often than not.
Dawkins usually plays as striker and does nothing. Before the last game it's been either him or Mattocks starting in that role, no?
In reply to JahJah
No! Barnes is the forward and he is Jamaica's best forward I have seen so far on this team. Watch the first half of the U.S.A game and the Mexico game when JA had some possession and see Dawkins role.
In reply to methodic
Barnes and Dawkins play both roles (striker or attacking midfielder) at various times, but recently Dawkins has been starting as striker far more often than not and has proven to be no good at it...or shall I say less than adequate.
Nicaragua decided to "park de buss"with about 6 minutes left, all the while they were playing possession football, this they were doing well enough to hold on,and at times looked more likely to score. They paid the penalty when a ball should have been cleared between 2 defenders,Dawkins fixed it for them.
I am not clear on how Nicaragua is 144 in the FIFA standings, they look way,way better than that,in fact they play a better brand than most Caribbean teams, and would match Jamaica,TT and Haiti any day, they were unlucky, and badly advised to defend in numbers with 5 or 6 minutes to go,Jamaica looked clueless and couldn't even hold the ball, they had Jamaica flustered with all their long balls and constant fouling, bigger and more difficult battles to come.

I agree with all your comments except this...
It wasn't that Yard looked clueless it was more that they struggled mightily to come to terms with the bounce of the artificial turf...they had great difficulty controlling the ball and the Sandinistas were winning 30/70 balls consistently.
Furthermore the absence of Rudy Austin left a Grand Canyon like sinkhole in Yard's midfield....
the Sandinistas as you said paid a tremendous price for locking shop with 6 minutes to go...this movie has played out on many football fields from time immemorial....
kudos to Yard though for never giving up and for pressing the overworked Sandinistas into making a monumental mistake...
if Yard had lost it would have been disastrous for the future of the Reggae Boyz especially after their excellent run in the Copa America and Gold Cup tournaments...
One thing is clear though Yard will have to make a dramatic improvement if they hope to make it out of El Grupo de La Muerte...
In reply to FanAttick
Clueless team win 2 nil. Dat is one for the books. Of course, your assessment about the turf was spot on.
It shouldn't have come to this though. Yard should have blown them away in Kingston, but didn't approach the match seriously until about 30mins to go. Those defenders need to learn to stop dribbling like dem name forward. The ball watching in the 1st leg was also ridiculous.
Jamaica wasn't really missing Austin as much as they were missing McAnuff and McCleary. Jobi in particular is a live wire much like Mattocks. With his urgency and defenders stop playing around that Kingston result would have been a lopsided one.
But you know how it go with Jamaicans and professionalism some of the time...
In reply to JahJah
Wrong word mate, shouldn't be clueless, but when I noticed they(Jamaica)not stringing 3 good passes, the word clueless came to mind.I have to say though not many teams in the Caribbean looked as good as the Sandinistas looked,I didn't see the first game ,and thought Yard wudda win 4-1,but they did well as you mentioned, playing badly but still 2-0 win.
a 2-0 win on the road against a team that needs less than a tie is nothing to complain about!
I completely forgot about this game.
