From the limited video we are getting his action looks good
Motie has always been a player to make the best of his chances.
He is 20 years old and from Albion - the same club as Bishoo and Permaul. Those two have to work hard to keep their places, even for Albion!
An excellent slow left-arm spinner with a clean, high action. He gets through his overs quickly, with enough variations to keep the pressure on batsmen.
Good for him, but those numbers might be deceiving, many spinners have achieved those numbers against the LI, many of those spinners no longer make their national teams.
In reply to Narper
Congrats to the youngster!
Whe Permaul?
Injured or can't make the team?
In reply to dax
Injured. The comms were discussing Motie's fate when Permaul returns for the next match.
Seems like Motie intends to stay tho!
Like runs scored, wickets against Leewards doan count..

Respect to the young fella, but allyuh know what everybody say bout we spinners, almost every spinner since Lance Gibbs have never been given a run.The only one to have been given a long run, was Harper, and he was never any good, brilliant fielder, but not good enough to be given 25 tests.Anyway,a young fella by the name of Warrican has sneaked in to the Windies team from nowhere, watchout Motie, nice name an ting, but you will have a long unhappy wait, still all the best.
In reply to granite
so you suggesting he start practicing his boundary run up?

Why Motie did not get MOM
In reply to Narper
hard to really judge the quality of these spinners given the nature of the pitches.
In reply to doosra
We all live in hope, and I hope for better for the kid.Don't forget we already have the best left arm orthodox spinner in the Windies team,he's already got 5 wickets in his fuss test.
In reply to Bigzinc
Fixed it for you?
In reply to Narper
It's Bishoo's fault.
