Congrats Devon Thomas!
In reply to voiceofreason ... Yaad knows talent.
In reply to voiceofreason
no congrats to Tamar?
In reply to doosra
in Devon Thomas's case, we are talking about a dottie that has made the Jamaican team. Well, at least the squad. That's a pretty significant achievement! Congrats are in order.

Carlton Baugh + Devon Thomas = CRAP...six ah one, half ah dozen de odda!!!
In reply to WestDem
Junior Bennett has lost the plot !
In reply to cricketmad
Look like VOR pay off Junior to gee Devon ah game....I want to see how he gonna keep against Jacobs and Killa!
Actually I have been advised that Thomas is not keeping. Walton will take up the keeping duties, while Thomas will play as a batting allrounder.
In reply to voiceofreason
ALROUNDER?
In reply to doosra
Yes. He has shown displayed his allround ability for the West Indies with 2/11 in a ODI. Bowls a decent medium paced seam up.
In reply to voiceofreason
ALROUNDER RIGHT DEH eh

zero first class wickets and man a alrounder
Sheikesque
In reply to doosra
He will be in the team as a batsman who can bowl eg. Bernard. He has the ability to be an allrounder. Who knows maybe Leewards were not using him right.
In reply to voiceofreason
Yuh think he like Bernard bowling wise?
In reply to doosra We will soon see.
In reply to voiceofreason
Player A - 224 FC Wickets
Player B - 0 FC wickets
we shall "see" soon
In reply to WestDem
oye, watch it dey!
don't you know THomas is the new savior for WI cricket??
why you think from nowhere he was sent to save the last ODI world cup for WI!
In reply to googley
Ah think de Cameron connection getting him a game here because VOR she he has potential to be a BATTING (24.7 allrounder!!!
In reply to doosra
Sheikesque big grin big grin

man...I needed that...smh
In reply to voiceofreason
Please do not insult Bernie. He has scored FC centuries and has 5 wicket hauls to his name.
Plus, fore what its worth, he has a 40-run batting average in his limited test career.
Thomas is an 'allrounder' only in the fluid definition that considers Sammy an 'allrounder'- 'bowling-" or otherwise

Jerome Taylor is not an 'allrounder' even though he has scored a test century and has a number of 5-wicket hauls!!
In reply to voiceofreason
Congrats to Thomas, replacing Baugh, now he can retire with satisfaction.
In reply to voiceofreason
Suh, yuh gwine finally congratulate Bonner on becoming part of the Revo?
In reply to jacksprat
Potential to be an allrounder and allround ability I guess that flew over your heads.
In reply to Drapsey
Bonner is still in training and is yet to receive his REVO Badge.
Hopefully the change of environment will help Devon Thomas as it has thus far helped Bonner.
In reply to voiceofreason
Oh, what irony!
The Boar was instrumental in getting Devon Thomas to play in the Yard leagues, only for Devon to replace him as an insect (ok, a Scorpion).
In reply to WestDem... correction ... six a one, half a man the other ...
In reply to VOR... or can he make an impact ala Bonner.
In reply to voiceofreason
Only in your delusional world is a 26 year old mediocre cricketer, without a single FC wicket to his name, has the 'potential to be an allrounder'.
Why stop there? He also has the 'potential' to be test triple centurion and to take 10 wickets in a test inning!

Don't take it from me:
RJR Sports understands that the Jamaica Scorpions have made two changes to the squad to travel to Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday to take on the Red Force in the WICB 4 day Pro League at Queen's Park Oval.
Former captain Tamar Lambert along with Antiguan Devon Thomas have been drafted into the side. They replace Brandon King and Carlton Baugh Junior.
Veteran Baugh has accumulated 68 runs in his four innings so far while the 20 year old King has scored 61.

It's expected that Chadwick Walton will assume wicketkeeping duties for the third round match, while Thomas, a former wicketkeeper who bowls medium pace is a cover for the inconsistent David Bernard Junior.
In reply to Drapsey
According to RJR, Chadwick Walton will replace Baugh.
In reply to voiceofreason
As usual, you are missing the point: the fact that a (mediocre) batsman can turn over his arm does not make him an 'allrounder' !
Kraigg Btrathwaite just recently took 6 wickets in a test match, yet no one calls him an 'allrounder' anymore than they do Jerome Taylor who actually has a test century!
In reply to jacksprat
Where did I say he was an ALLROUNDER? Please do not misquote me.

Thank You!
Over to you VOR!!!
Actually I have been advised that Thomas is not keeping. Walton will take up the keeping duties, while Thomas will play as a batting allrounder.

Yes.

Oh the beauty of the English Language that it confuses so many. I was advised by someone that Thomas will be playing as a batting allrounder as RJR now confirms that Thomas may replace Bernard. So my source is correct.
Over to you Jacksprat!

Yes.

Ability to be an allrounder and an Allrounder are two different things. One could show their ability to be something that does not mean they are something eg. Just like you have the ability to be a jackass but that does not mean you are a jackass.
In reply to voiceofreason

In reply to doosra
English was not your strong suit eh? Comprehension neither. Dude I was just continuing with what I was advised upon. Thomas is not keeping so Walton will provide the keeping duties and Thomas will play as a batting allrounder. The fullstop was meant to confuse and befuddle the simpletons. Mission accomplished.
In reply to voiceofreason
Well VOR that sentence is ambiguous.
What it says for sure is you have been advised that Thomas is not keeping. Then you ended the sentence. No and.
But your follow up post exposes your opinion on the matter
No way to wiggle out of this one VOR.
In reply to nick2020
not if i am to go by your use of it
see above

In reply to nick2020
Hate to do this to you but I have no choice:
He has shown displayed his allround ability for the West Indies with 2/11 in a ODI. Bowls a decent medium paced seam up.

Kind regards
VOR.
In reply to voiceofreason
yes
but this is what you also said
what does that mean really ?
In reply to voiceofreason
but playing as a jackass is NOT the same as "the ability to be a jackass" is it?
In reply to doosra
Come on Doosra you stretching. The second sentence is obviously connected to the first. I was basing it on what I was ADVISED.` Meaning my source.
In reply to doosra
No.
So quit playing a jackass although you have the ability to be one.

In reply to voiceofreason
Yuh a funny bai
In reply to voiceofreason
How mekThomas Muck?
From that sentence alone, VoR is right. He stated what Thomas was said to be playing as. Not that Thomas is an actual all rounder.
In reply to FanAttick
Thomas played as a fielder.
In reply to cricketmad
Scammy patented that role...it's a Dottie Speciality

In reply to FanAttick
At least he got a taste of what winning feels like.
In reply to Drapsey
They should disband the dots and send their players to experience winning environments from the big four dugouts...

In reply to JahJah
But now there is another issue in itself about how he said he "will" play.

In reply to JahJah
Gotcha!
It is like VOR saying that "Devon Thomas will be playing as a batsman". Not that Thomas is an actual batsman!!!
In reply to jacksprat
Devon Thomas played as a Norounder in de last game....he did look good with those Gatorade bottles!
