I will be getting my very first Iphone soon as I land in the US in a few weeks.
Samsung makes good Televisions...best I will argue for picture quality..the Refridgerator is good too....but you see smart phones?
In their quest to copy everything APPLE they truly suck bad...cant wait to dump this lemon I been stuck with for the past 2 years.

Powen,
you must be cursed We have Samsung here ( actually most our our gadgets are Samsung) and I will not trade.
In reply to WI_cricfan
for me...Samsung is a toy...Blackberry Z10 was far more production friendly before I was seduced by the Darkside marketing of the Samsung S4...
I made sure that all the stuff I do like about it..existed on the Apple 6s...so..I will stop with the wannabe Samsung to the real deal...Apple Iphone6s

What about the new BlackBerry running Android? I think it's called BlackBerry Priv. It's been getting some good reviews by tech sites.
Review
In reply to SnoopDog
saw that...been trying to make sure My wife didnt see it.
Blackberry is still an excellent business tool...the Android marriage is to remain relevant...cant blame them.
In reply to powen001
I'm an iPhone aficionado but I must admit being impressed by that BlackBerry Priv.
If they could have only built a better resolution screen for the device.
In reply to powen001
Like de man said you must be cursed.
I wouldn't trade my note for anything in the world.
Apple does the basics well but when it comes to multitasking Samsung is king.

Blackberry Passport Silver Edition. The Passport is a beastly machine. If you want unlimited access to Android apps, just install Snap and you have full access to the Google play store.
I just like talking about BlackBerry, this post wasn't directed to anyone.
The Priv is getting mixed reviews.
I vow never to own an IPhone or Samsung. I will stick with BlackBerry until they no longer produce handsets.
I wouldn't mind juggling back and forth between a Blackberry Passport and the Sony Xperia Z5.
Bond uses the Xperia Z5 in Spectre
In reply to Devin
I feel you...
I was blackberry all the way until I fell for the Samsung Marketing....biggest mistake of a Handset ever..my wife still shows off how much faster she does stuff on the Z10 while the stupid S4 freezes ...
I just bought a new battery for the piece o crap..in August...if I send more than 2 minutes worth of messages I lost 20% battery power in a flash.....
cant wait to "accidentally" drop the piece of crap.
Ive never owned a Samsung Note....I done with Samsung handsets ....
I look forward to owning my first Iphone.

So some guys keep telling me..get the plus...
too big for me I suspect.
In reply to Devin
BlackBerry will be out of business by Christmas 2016. Good luck with that vow.

In reply to powen001
Yeah, it's obviously going to be too big for you. With your baby size, it'll be like an iPad.

they said that 2 years ago..hence my giving up my Z10 to wifey...
the Priv is promising...hope they do get a high rez screen.
In reply to Admin

No grown man wears a phone on his hip.

Cr-Apple Horror Story
- Had a Blackberry Z10 last year.
- Traded it in for the iphone 5s.
- My iphone 5s went belly up 2 weeks ago...I had downloaded their latest software then it stopped connecting to the network.
- Verizon seh tek it to the Apple store.
- Apple spent 1 hr fiddling with it then ordered a new one for me (while I waited, switched service to my old Z10)
- went back to de Apple store days later. The replacement iphone did not connect. Dem seh it was a "dud". So, they ordered ANOTHER iphone.
- I am done with Apple. The thing I miss most about the iphone was "Siri". Boss app. Gimme the BB Z10 any day, tough, resilient, doesn't break or demand downloads. I think ultimately I will switch to the Samsung S6 Edge.

dont scare me..
My wife is secretly waitin on me to come back to Blackberry...I never had issues and I left...calls me disloyal and ting...so she waiting on what happened to you to happen to me....my words.
Iphone 6S ...i been running for too long from this handset...
love my macbook pro...my iPad2 (relic)...time to meet Siri in truth.
In reply to powen001
Yeah man, Samsung gets its fair share of mixed reviews.
Actually cell phone reviews and the people commenting on them are hilarious.
Any phone that isn't Apple and doesn't get 5 stars? Be prepared for a backlash in the comment section. The reviewer will be accused of using an IPhone, or that he's being paid by Apple
.
I'm still using a Z10. Plan to get a Passport soon, or the Sony Xperia Z5. Maybe both in a short space of time
In reply to Devin
chaa....
my inner circle of friends all still use their Z10s...but this thread aint helping me...
I have made up my mind...Iphone 6S...Gold..64 gigs.
IF...IF..Apple fails..I will slink back home to Berry Land...
I use a Nokia torchlight phone.
Helps me see in the dark and takes a fall well.
Works.
In reply to powen001
Man, the way Apple people talk about the IPhone 6 and 6s, you should end up being more than just a satisfied customer.
If you're into the whole Apple "Ecosystem," then it's probably the right phone for you.
Not to confuse you or anything, but quite a few BlackBerry loyalists who decided to make the switch to the IPhone or Samsung ended running right back to BlackBerry.
I know the Priv is being marketed as a top of the line premium phone in the class of an IPhone 6 and Samsung whatever, and the specs certainly suggest as much, but BlackBerry must be out of their minds to be selling that phone for $799 in the US and $899 in Canada. That's a $1,000 after tax over here.
I should be able to sex that phone for that price.
$399 fuh a rasshole two year contract.
Even the Passport Silver edition is absurd. You can only buy one online from the BlackBerry shop website. $699 fackin dollars over here. It's a beauty though.

Blackberry is profitable, the handset division is not. Much of the infotainment found in vehicles today is provided by BlackBerry. They're always making acquisitions as well, good acquisitions.
We've been hearing that they're going out of business for the past four years now.
In reply to powen001
Question powen.
You have had a Samsung for the last 2 years.
2 years ago Samsung was decidedly different than Apple - removable battery, expandable storage, plastic.
I call BS on your post.
In reply to Commie
I applaud you on not being a slave to whatsapp and facebook.
In reply to nick2020
??
you lost me boss
as usual you making some piss poor guesses about what my thinking is..was.
I type what I mean on here...I dont understand what you trying to say.
The Samsung is the first cell phone I have had outside of Motorola..1990s..then Blackberry ,early 2000s..until 2013 when I got a Samsung..
whats so difficult to understand about that?
In reply to powen001
The Samsung 2 years ago was not an attempt at copying Apple.
But the confusing part is this:
So you are going full suck with Apple?

In reply to Admin
_r
Too big, I think the 6s is just the ideal size
In reply to nick2020
Do you work for Samsung? Must do, judging from your post.
The man has had enough of your company's phone and wants to try another.
Just as you feel Apple is full suck, he and many others feel the same way a bout Samsung.
In reply to JahJah
I never even owned a Samsung. I also understand that it is subjective.
I was a Moto fan. Well built, useful stuff. Hard to be a Moto fan now. So I buy what I can afford which is the (much) less expensive stuff.
Which phone do you like?
In reply to powen001
Powen I have had my Note 2 now for 3 years. Time to get an upgrade, but that will have to wait. If i can afford it, I would get another Note. I loved the phone then and love it now. Excellent Battery life, the interface was quite good, screen was great (for its time, but its dated now) and the apps are solid. So i have had no issues with it at all. I was debating getting the Sony phone, but changed my mind.
I was a loyal blackberry customer too until the hit a reef with the Storm. Since that disaster I have not gone back to Blackberry.
In reply to dale_staple
Note to me is the best device on the market. But 5.7" is too much for me and to be honest I cannot afford that device.
In reply to powen001
Looking also to move on from Samsung note 4 to possibly iPhone only because I already have a Mac and iPad Air. I am open to another brand though.
Samsung was great but I was looking at the note 5 and I realize they have run out of ideas. Then also, Samsung not water friendly.
Like the big screen so maybe iPhone 6 Plus.
Will miss using the stylus though.
In reply to archangel
You'll be back. They always come back. It will be like a siren call (google now?). DWL.
In reply to dale_staple
Wouldn't rule out that possibility.
In reply to dale_staple
i have heard many sing the praises of the note series..but I have had enough..
Battery life is an issue..and the freezing is ridiculous..
soon.
In reply to archangel
thats my position..my macbook pro..(second one to boot plus my Ipad 2..yes its a relic now are very productive friendly..so time to finally get my first Iphone.
