Middle order batsman Darren Bravo has requested to stay home and play in the PCL. The WICB says Bravo's replacement will be named shortly

Nurse replaced narine
He has opted out of T20 cricket before. Seems strange with the way things are nowadays.
Any guesses why?

I think Bravo might be looking at the bigger picture.
Though he may be a stable batsman forbus to have in the middle ofer for our T20 team, he seems wanting to become more of a pure batsman.
He don't just want to be seen a a T20 cricketer.
He's one of our best young batsman and he wants to prove it in the longer formats of the game
The Tri series and then India coming in the summer. I sure he wants to show his worth then

Man wants to stay home and concentrate on his test battling instead of developing the bad habits of T20 batsmen.
maybe his personal issues are back!
Wow, I would support this at this stage of his career, there is enough big hitters around and with him as our best test batsmen it would do him the world of good to work on his batting in the PCl, they can take Dwayne Smith who has no Test aspirations

I don't know, he might think he is close to reaching a higher level in the longer format and do not want to miss the opportunity the PSL will give him now.
Maybe the Trinis are withdrawing one by one and using various excuses to do so

well isn't Dwayne Bravo in
In reply to methodic
Darren was in until today, ent? They have until Tuesday to sign. We shall see
In reply to sudden
Dwayne has already signed. Phil Simmons, Darren Sammy and the other seniors had this team planned out to a T. Listen to Sammy's interview again. They gave Pollard as much time as possible to recover from his injury. They gave Narine as much time as possible to rework his action. Both scenarios didn't work out. I think Darren Bravo wants to champion the test cause.

Is there an elephant in the room
In reply to methodic
Don't think so. I think this latest drama might separate the senior players and Bravo don't want to be part of it
In reply to doosra
Sammy is that elephant!!
Bravo not interested in playing under Sammy

Cowlasher Smith for Bravo...
Actually, during the tour to Australia Bravo have mentioned his intentions in relation to Test Cricket. He seemed to want to really dedicate himself to it. Guess this is following that path.

They left out Ramdin and Bravo for the match against Guyana
Excellent decision.

Was there any instance when he was sold but did not join IPL?
If Lil Bravo opted out of the West Indies T20 side to play PCL cricket, is he currently playing for Trinidad against Jamaica?
In reply to Pacy
I think so, he did turn down ipl once before, didn't he?
I like his attitude. We need more players to focus on our domestic cricket.
In reply to brians_da_best
Then why isn't Lil Bravo playing for Trinidad against Jamaica now?
In reply to mikesiva
Because lendl Simmons thinks solozano is deserving and therefore ...
