You see how Ali is an international cricketer? Now that certainly doesn't mean he isn't capable of some dubious activities, but what would be the reason to question him for 40 minutes?
Someone looks suspicious, do your background check, ask a few pertinent questions, and you're on your way. 5-10 minutes, any longer than that and it means that you have good reason to suspect the individual of a crime.

Missed my connection flight and delayed me.
I missed my planned shopping time in New York

state who i am to get out quick.
