I was gonna install a display by his store tomorrow,he gave me a spot to advertise my product on the main road side of his property,no charge..Main road Cunupia no charge!!

He was really becoming a businessman, the other guy who died(not the killer) in the crossfire was a good friend of mine in my partying days,he just passed to wash his car and check robo...Trinidad is a funny place and everyone one mixes and sometimes those guys can help you when the police can't..and when I mix with such people I try to make them go my way,I so defy the 'birds of a feather' theory it's not funny,I myself have made about 20 serious dread men register and pursue legitimate business.

Robo was no saint in the past but he was really trying, and always sought peace and legit business for his area, you cant smoke drugs or drink by his premises, some little idiot half his age did this for ghetto rank,he took him with him though, went out like a boss.

I am really confused bravos.

No saint?

Can you explain to me who this Robocop fella is?

bravos 2016-07-18 00:22:23

In reply to nick2020

Was a kidnapper before kidnapping was crushed,a big time hussler turned defacto boss of an area, did his ting coming up but as he grew older he pursued legit business and always tried to promote peace among rival gang factions,he was a Muslim too..an ole school boss who maybe helped to turn it up in the past but one who was trying his best to keep things peaceful for a long time..he never ran away from his business place, never hid and always said if they want him they know where to find him, well respected among the older citizens of the area who maybe relish a time when Robo was the only problem in their area..an old school gangster who showed respect to older citizens families women community etc..but if a man was giving trouble in the area and had to go well he ain fraid that either..

nick2020 2016-07-18 00:46:43

Why was he not in jail?

I am reading your description of the guy and it sounds like the mother who goes to court and says her son was not a bad fella. And to be honest I have always felt this is your biggest problem in Trinidad. That you have some really bad people who are rich and untouchable.

Dana Seetahal murderer(s) ever brought to justice?

bravos 2016-07-18 01:42:43

In reply to nick2020

He won all his cases...and I'm telling you the man was encouraging business in his area and wasn't tolerating open wutlessness..he was better at this stage among many..

I'm giving it to you as it yet you coming up with your own little theories..I never said I didn't expect something like this to eventually happen, dem fellas have serious pasts but de man was holding his corner kinda well at this stage of his life that's all..he was no rich untouchable,he was very touchable..

And people have been charged for Dana's murder if you didn't know.

Emir 2016-07-18 06:58:19

In reply to bravos

You think they know who the killer (Killers) are?

I hope this doesn;t result in another round of counter killings among the two major gangs -re the Rastas and the "Muslims."

He killed one of the killers,he from a couple streets down..Bagaloo trace ..lowlife street level ting...robo wasn't about that..and apparently is 'Muslim' vs 'Muslim'..these gangsta idiots confused..

Oh that's the next spike right there, before this there were only 2-3 murders for the whole week..I go anywhere in T&T but I'm staying away from that area for a while...it gonna tun up...expect plenty lowlife murders over the next couple weeks..

Easy for someone like me to comment from thousands of miles away, but he does not sound like a wallflower himself, and it's hard to find much sympathy for him.

This is what I unearthed from a simple google search:

Robocop through the years

Excerpts:

........... Case dismissed against him by a Chaguanas magistrate after the alleged victim, Deonanan Ramdial, said he did not know Alexis

.........State's main witness, Kevin Richards, was found in a Longdenville pond wrapped in a black garbage bag and weighted down with rocks

.........State witness refused to give evidence.

.........charged with attempting to deter John from giving evidence in the kidnapping of Francis during the period April 24 and September 27, 2007.

I know but the point is he was better than those who just kill anyone and turn up a whole area...of course he would kill another low life...but he was a good tool on the ground, even the police says he was good for the area right now in his last iteration.,it's true because from his death more spin-offs and factions would form..they already showing how unruly they are by killing him.

Of course his day would've come not denying that, but his death is a bad thing for the ground..simple.

Jabari18 2016-07-18 10:10:44

In reply to bravos

There was a time when Chadee ran d whole country and murders were low. Den Chadee fell and the other "community leaders" took over. When they began falling the idiots that replaced them began killing indiscriminately.

There is evil, pure evil and lesser evil. Robocop in the lesser category. With his fall someone from the pure evil category will rise.

Enterprise go be hot for a while.

But how can someone justify that a guy who should be in jail is not because he is not as bad as the rest?

I would feel really bitter when I end up in jail for teifing a mango while...

Your country will have a lot of issues if it is so blatantly two forms of justice.

What was cleared up?

That a bad man was never jailed for horrible crimes but them got worser men out there?

Wunna sound like mothers at court.

In reply to nick2020

Here's an example of the legitimate business he was involved in.

He was never convicted becos witnesses and/or police always either suffered from temporary convenient amnesia, or the witnesses turned up dead.

Trinis have gotten to the point where we rather live with the gang leaders we know who already in control and have a murder rate of 400-500 annually, because past experience has taught us that when they get killed, the reprisal killings and all out gang war that follows will make us long for the days of only 400 murders.

Jabari mentioned the Dole Chadee era, who was hanged in 1999; murders were in single digits annually back then. We also had the Mark Guerra era, who was murdered in the early 2000s. In both cases murders increased exponentially after their deaths.

ToTrini 2016-07-18 17:57:13

The best ice cream in the world was by Robocop.

He got what he deserve.

bravos 2016-07-18 18:55:15

Say what allyuh want, maybe he desreved to die long time, but the fact is ole school men like Robo kept worse men at bay..not asking allyuh..

bravos 2016-07-18 19:00:01

In reply to steveo

You guys always twist up people comments eh...everybody in T&T know men like that,it's part of survival...many times men like that help people like allyuh get back their cars, jewelery, money even dey family etc..

Easy to sit behind a sticky keyboard and monitor and talk sterile stuff and sheltered..

Maybe robo deserved to die for past transgressions ,but as late as yesterday he kept things in check in his area and that's a fact,he just couldn't handle this new surge.

nick2020 2016-07-18 19:08:44

I am not here challenging you on that bravos. But I think the idea that those people are "good" for society because they keep worst people at bay is a condemnation of society.

Maybe robo deserved to die for past transgressions

If you believe his past transgressions include murdering state witnesses your sentence should never include a but. We all have corruption in our small countries but we should never accept it.

Dan_De_Lyan 2016-07-18 22:44:00

Can someone summarize this trini badman?

Dan_De_Lyan 2016-07-18 22:44:00

del

bravos 2016-07-18 22:47:54

The killer had an outstanding bill at Robo's grocery too,lol ungrateful..

bravos 2016-07-18 23:05:12

In reply to Dan_De_Lyan

Like all others, they eventually go out in this fashion.

He had the country hot with kidnappings in the early 2000's..he never kidnapped women as a rule,he stopped when Gov't cracked down with new legislation policing methods incl AKS Squad and interception of communications, and an all out assault on kidnappers with many being killed and jailed for life etc.

As any other Trini badman he dabbled in every hussle on the larger side of the scale as an opportunity presented itself. He was what is considered an 'old school' gangsta with some old fashioned morals and ethics and liked and respected by older citizens, women and children of his area ,as a law abiding decent citizen you stood a good chance if post kidnapper Robo was on to you, worst might happen is that he may end up your unlikely acquaintance as he was a very curious and communicative fella when it came to business despite his slight speech impediment,he was very interested in construction and foods business such as bakeries restaurants etc. He was attempting to make his business into a mini mall with all of the above.

He became very active as a political tool by a certain party during their past campaigns,he was not a heartless ruthless criminal and walked away from many altercations and situations where he could've easily resorted to street justice,he was forgiving to people who robbed him and deceived him etc, choosing instead to "laugh at dem","leave dem nah"..he also featured on many radio and tv talk shows 'via phone' or 'at the scene'..very dry and candid with his points, somewhat clever and witty with a quick panting laugh to back up a remark.

Lately there has been a dotish war fueled by a break away Muslim fashion calling themselves 'unruly ISIS' and for the past few months they have made Enterprise into a living hell for decent citizens, most of whom shop at Robo's grocery btw, nuff said...

Oh in fact the killer who he managed to kill yesterday had an old outstanding bill at the grocery it has been revealed.

People could try to make this into a simple case of a old criminal dead but this just leads to more fragmentation on the ground and more gang murders and that's more T&T MURDERS that we all have to take responsibility for internationally,so I know why I'm disappointed at Robo's demise at this time.

Many think they have the sophisticated view but in reality I'm looking way way beyond the simplistic satisfaction of the demise of someone who may be perceive as just another lowlife ..

Craziness eh. Men defending big time criminals.

Do business persons in the area have to pay protection tax and share the profits of their business with the so called "protectors".

And how are the business persons guaranteed protection...what mechanism is used?

I am not asking about the merits or demerits of such a measure...just want to ascertain this report which will help put the whole scenario in context.

bravos 2016-07-19 10:08:02

In reply to Courtesy

Nah they couldn't do that with Robo ver 2.0 lol..but now pal Enterprise tun up..anything possible and I mean even mass murder with serious guns,,Robo had to have guns too man,not saying it was good as guns are our main problem, but so he made his bed so he had to lye in it,he killed one killer and we should be glad he did also.

Bro I'm fed up of people twisting facts as if they're my position,no I'm just stating facts..and giving people a real insight into the character and the wider situation on the ground..

He has been in and out of Jail, but so have many people who are now folk heroes in the US,even men associated with the Colombian cartels like Medellin and Cali...men who hot up Mia,NY and LA...but dem was just decent US 'cowboys' I suppose, sold books, movies and interviews like mad after..showed their human side, well Robo had one too..but hey I expected this at some point..

I am reliably informed that business owners in Enterprise had to pay 'protection tax' as well as pass a share of profits to the protector.

I have done my fact check.

Now, if de business owners pay up, dais dere business...but what sort of community would encourage such lawlessness and further, did the police know of this?
