My ancestors passed on this saying:
BINU SATSANG VIVEK NA HOI.
RAM KRIPA BINU SULABH NA SOI.
Without Satsang (company of Enlightened, truthful ones) wisdom is not awakened and without God's grace it's not possible to hear satsang.
Truth/Enlightened like Lara, Sobers, Kanhai. They were enlightened in batting and a good maestro/expert will pass on the facts, not BS to a youngster willing to listen.
In medicine they have weekly grand rounds as well as following senior docs around to learn and absorb from their experiences.
Without God's grace or humility to be a student, to learn, you will never hear the wisdom or get anything from it.
Also, you become the company you keep. Most Eastern philosophers say something like that.
As I posted yesterday, Lanka is using their superstars like Sanga, Mahela, Murali Bhai
as well as sports psychologists.
