How many have gone into the fourth day? Fact - Less than 50%
Is it the quality of the pitches or the inept skills of our players?
As I look around at the product that is being put out on the cricket field; its pathetic, and we wonder why the former world championship WIndies teams are at the same level as the affiliate teams. Our cricket will never improve until players are held accountable (personal responsibility/pride) I am disappointed in the players that have played at the highest level and then come into the PCL and fail or are medico. We as fans have accepted this mediocrity even at our domestic level.
We need to call out the territories so they raise the bar (expectations) for the players the games are broadcasted for the cricketing world to see, and except for enthusiasts not many viewers are compelled to watch because of what they see. 3-day games is why Cricket loses fans to other sports or activities.
Some of my fellow posters for the past 10-years have been decrying team coaches for players performance or lack of it rather than holding the players responsible. In my opinion, the responsibility rests squarely on players. Also, not all players will make it to the highest level but top-tier (the best) players must force the issue and step-up, and next level players must push the top-tier players if the product is going attract fans. We need to stop settling (accepting) for mediocrity.
PS I agree that the Administrators and Selectors are somewhat culpable but they do not take the field.

The problem is a collection of many things on and off the field, it is the total collapse of cricket organization and planning in the regions. In these modern days no cricket Nation can depend on talent and athletic ability alone, proper technique, mental strength, strategy, good regional coaches and administrative savvy are all needed just to be competitive.

In all sports the first casualty of team failure is the manager, this is also done in business, management's job is to provide solution.Ever see a company fire its work force unless it is going out of business? Our player failure is too widespread for it not to be a systemic problem.

I would say sack all the players who have no pride across the caribbean and select the ones with Pride... Cannot comprehend why the selectors cannot select the ones with the pride and personal drive
