Since Ambrose left...

Our bowlers has fallen back steadily.

Interesting statement. But I ask you this question. What did Ambrose do as assistant coach/consultant of the WI team? I heard his role was simply to encourage the players and spread good vibes. In other words, he did little if any technical work with the bowlers.

Mr-Anguilla 2018-01-10 07:15:50

It was working if that is what he was doing. we can't even brush a pad now.

It's always darkest before dawn smile

I am reminded of this Trini lady in 2007 at Kensington during the WC predicting that the West Indies would become minnows after Lara's departure.

In reply to Walco

She was correct, we were minnows before he left!

Sounds familiar !

Don't discount that epic contribution because a captain who was credited with "Winning 2 World Cups" did little more than what Ambrose is now being disparaged for contributing!!!

The team was well led!

Must have been, to have been able to routinely play 10 vs 11!

So well led, in fact, that I guess the team could not have won without it - the most important criterion in the team's success.

More important in fact, than the tangible - and outstanding - contribution of the likes of Samuels, Narine and Gayle.

The recent struggles of the team is evidently due to the absence of that unique toss-spinning and clapping ability!!

Only well led???....ok let me help

Yep! plenty tangibles

jacksprat 2018-01-10 16:28:53

Let us dispense with the fake news and alternative facts and smoke screen, to underscore the fact that we, in fact, played with a virtual 10 man team -and one notable passenger, who did little more than spin the toss and clap - at the last T20 World Cup.big grin big grin

Well-led indeed!

And a very tangible CONTRIBUTION, no less, during the 6 games of the tournament, of a combined 8 runs and 1 wicket (with one of the worst economy rates) - to our T20 World Cup victory big grin big grin big grin
