It was a rubbish innings... what amazes me is the comms were all excited by it... maybe because they had watched the Bajans pushing and prodding most of the day.... hitting the ball in the air all the time.. swiping...totally irresponsible.

They knew he was a wicket waiting to happen! I hate how they think it was de only way Blackwood plays his cricket and it’s entertaining, Blackwood better get serious in a hurry or he would be done with!

Totally agree... Roland Butcher was ‘ok’ with way he played ... sorry I don’t get it..for my money that was an idiotic innings... the way he plays is ridiculous.

Totally agree, especially when you are a senior player that played tests! Build a freaking inning fuh gaadsake, don’t try to lash your way to improve your stats!

Can he bat differently? Would he have been more successful trying to play a conventional innings?

I had high hopes for Blackwood after his performance in his 6th test match....obviously Shiv was mentoring him in the early part of his the first innings...but he continued after Shiv left and showed true grit

i think Butcher was 'ok' with it because he understands its the only way he CAN play . i dont know what or how Blackwood thinks but its not suitable for serious cricket

Been telling you all. You may have all the attributes and mechanics to be a good cricketer however with no brain you got NO TALENT. The yaadie story it seems. Hence my hope for King to succeed.

Silly stuff from Blackwood. Anyone bowling against him knows he's impatient, scoring 20-35 quick runs before giving your wicket away isn't going to concern the opposition.

Many will use catch phrases like, they bat “properly” “build an innings”, “take the shine off the ball”, “values their wicket”, “don’t play if they don’t have to” etc etc

The sad thing is watching men block half volleys as if they are afraid to hurt the cricket ball. Bowlers love to bowl to this crop, even when they bowl bad balls, they are not not paying a toll for it.Very hard to watch.
