I think Jason Gillespie was one.

Not many have had the chance to represent AU.....(esp when you compare Aboriginal representation in other sports in AU....there are many in Rugby, Aussie rules football, hockey etc..)

Yeah, you are right.....Jason Gillespie was of Aboriginal descent.
Dan Christian who played for the TKR knight riders in last CPL is of aboriginal descent as well.
Currently there is another player who is making waves in the current Big Bash D'Arcy Short is as well.

Eddie Gilbert was an outstanding aboriginal fast bowler who floored Bradman in local shield game.....Bradman supposedly rated him as the fastest bowler he faced at the time. Eddie also played during the Bodyline tour against Douglas Jardine.
Here are some nice pics of him in this article.Link Text

If you more interested there are few more .......

Interestingly....the first "black" (non white cricketer to play for Australia was of "West Indian" Heritage)
Sam Morris - was born in Tasmania to West Indian parents - who made his Test debut on January 1, 1885. It is also worth noting that the first tour of England by players from Australia was the 1868 side composed of Aboriginal cricketers from Victoria.

I had no idea D'arcy Short was aboriginal. He's whiter than me.

In reply to mikesiva Well, well well; u fadda goady swell! A very interesting piece. No wonder, the aussies & WI have a somewhat peculiar relationship to this day - Brendan Nash! They love WI for our cricket prowess & at the same time hate WI for being just as good or better than they!?

big grin razz wink
