Hashim Amla's INTEGRAL Half-Century...

While watching a piece of the action before I left for work this morning, I heard Mikey Holding and the other comms saying how important Hashim's 1/2 century is....

I couldn't help but think that, that 50 by Kohli was just as important and both of these 50's are worth about 100 on this wicket....

4.05 pm This is now effectively a second-innings shoot out! South Africa have a lead of 7 and their bowlers have a pitch that has quickened up and is showing variations in bounce as well. They have to bat last, and so they must be keen to keep their target as little as possible. Even something in the region of 100 could be very very tricky here in the Bull Ring.

praveen gadugin: "Biggest positive for India is they have been taking 20 wickets consistently . If batsman join the party ,there is no reason why they shouldn't win in England and New Zealand"

5.30 pm Seventeen overs is a long time on this pitch, which is now showing signs of up and down bounce in addition to sideways movement. There are those divots on the 6 to 8 m mark, and if the ball hits them, there is no way to predict how it shall behave. Considering all that, India losing only one wicket and pushing ahead by 42 runs is a massive advantage. This Test is racing to a climax that you do not want to miss. So join us again tomorrow for more fun.
