Bravo and then Andy Roberts

Someone did not do his homework

Bravo

"What guarantee do we have that if we play qualifiers and secure World Cup spot, that with 15 months until the tournament, we won't be dropped if we have one or two bad series?

"Plus, the fact that we got our NOCs to play PSL since November, it's a joke."

In Bravo's estimation, these are clear indications that last six months of amnesty and contract talks were a facade.

"Its all a game because board [is] under pressure to qualify and need that ICC appearance money. If they had qualified there would be no amnesty talk, this is coordinated smear campaign by board and certain parts of Caribbean media to blame us in [the] event [that the] team doesn't qualify", stated Bravo.

Roberts

Speaking to the WEEKEND NATION from Antigua yesterday after Cricket West Indies announced a 15-man squad for the qualifiers in Zimbabwe from March 4 to 25, the former team coach and chief selector said if he had a say in the matter, he would not grant No-Objection Certificates to the four players for the Pakistan Super League, which is scheduled from February 22 to March 25.

Well Roberts was a great, mighty great cricketer. But that is it. In matters outside of bowling and batting- his views, opinions and utterances over the years have exposed his extremely limited thinking abilities.

It is not the first time he has made foolish remarks. Richie is not far behind.

This one didn't require thinking. He just had to ask simple questions.
What's worse is that I can't believe Andy thinks people would request NOCs at the end of January for a competition which starts in a few weeks. That is a significant misunderstanding of matters Operations and Planning.

Bravo got a point there, in who say that they can't discard the same players who help them qualify, in the next 15 months?
A lot of issues seems to be DC doing hey, he seems to have a war-like attitude. But when he was becoming Pressie most folks was glad cause you were getting rid of ppl from small islands and replacing them with ppl from big island who had big ideas and know what it was like to treat people
But as old people say, "don't bawl for who going, bawl for who coming"

You are correct - he is now deciding who can play for West Indies - he has violated their own rules.

Bravo said this ""What guarantee do we have that if we play qualifiers and secure World Cup spot, that with 15 months until the tournament, we won't be dropped if we have one or two bad series?"

Context +veg. If there are two series before the world cup and Bravo failed in both would you still play him just because he helped the team qualify 15 months prior?

It will be nice to see what reforms they have decided to take at the management level.
It's all good and nice to say ok well do these things to assist and keep the players in check
How about something to say this is what the board will do to make sure we are following proper practices.

I get what you are saying you know. And i'm sure he well no one should expect that, but one must be real, the players well most as of late have been through the washing and rinse cycle many times with the WICB so you know they can't trust them
I don't think anyone (fans wid sense) would be vex if Bravo was there helping the team make the WC, then two or three series he forget how to hold he bat and throw de ball.
