WWI v Hampshire- Leh we go Hamps
Windwards would have to get one extra point to level Red Force and two points to pass.
The Windwards bowling had bothered both Pride and Red Force but I think they present Hampshire with the same type of bowling they accustomed to: accurate medium to fast medium swing bowling.
This could be a ticklish match for the Windwards...they have to bat with patience and discipline and get Hampshire chase against the big bad Shilly,McCoy and the death bowling of Mayers.
But I cant see them smashing Hampshire easily.
When you want to qualify for a tournament you do so with some arrogance, not sitting in a corner biting your fingernails,Ramdin and his lot of inconsistent performers should not qualify for the semis.I think even if they qualify they'll be beaten quite easily. You just don't know what to expect, even with Narine giving you a great start with the bowling, you are still iffy, sorry Emir,I have lost feelings to support Red Force,or Red Farce as some say.

If Red Force go through is Jaguars they gotta play?
Should be a easy match for them Jaguars cant handle Narine..

Ah hear yuh, this B team should have done a lot better. Against the Windards, theywere barely above 3 runs per over half way through the innings in a good batting strip- this was a crucial period.
The other was poor tea selection. Primus has been in poor form with both bat and ball. Heck, he kept on swinging and missing and then his first two overs at the top of the innings went for 28- this was the second crucial moment that cost the game.
Windwards played smart cricket.
WWI after 5 overs are 21- for 2.
Fidel takes 2 wickets in his 3rd over.
Good start, but Windwards got a deep batting line up and it is surprising they haven't won more games thus far.
In reply to Emir
Fidel still good...

He strikes again- WWI now 27 for 3 in over # 7.
In over # 6, Devon Smith was dropped- a simple catch went down giving WWI a massive life line, as Devon can take the attack apart if he stays in.
In reply to Emir
Rooting for Hamps....red force aint peak yet...
In reply to oldcar
After 25 overs, WWI are 109 for 3.
Smith & Fletcher building an innings sensibly
WWI 142/3 Fletcher and Smith both have 50's.
197 for 4 after 38.
Looking good for 300, seems like a Semi Final spot on the making here.
Good knock by Andre and Devon
Congrats Fletch

Did Narine go to PCL?

I was surprised to learn it was his first century in first class level after 90 plus ODI matches.
But well played, it has been a terrific pace innings.
In reply to Emir
Me too, I really thought he had already scored a century
what 93/97 matches it took him
I'm hoping he can continue making more
Our cricketers just seems to take a longer time to mature and come into their own
And it's around that time that the selectors and board starts discarding them.
293 all out 48.3 overs
Go home Red Force

Really poor commentary by Barry Wikerson- the guy is so damN dumb he wont comment on the single most important number now: What score will the WWI need to limit Hampshire for or number of overs for them to get the bonus point.
They not only need to win but they also need one bonus point to get through to the semis, yet the commentators won't even mention it, but they ramble about insignificant things.
In reply to Emir
That name again....Devon Smith.
When will Larr Pullo start to drink his porridge cold.
More exciting news for him.
In reply to Emir
pointless is Barry. stupid fool said Fidel made his WI debut in 2001
Thats my problem with them too....they need to read this MB and see the many areas of cricket relating to their current situation rather than discuss what someone ate for lunch.
In reply to Emir
I can't root against my own country, but I can't root for Hampshire to beat Windwards.

Thank you.
So they finally reveled WWI need to bowl them out for 234 to qualify for the semis
Now, if they did not know it at the conclusion of the innings, fair enough, but TELL YOU LISTENERS YOU ARE WORKING ON GETTING THAT INFORMATION, BUT DON'T IGNORE IT AND PRETEND YOUR LISTENERS WON'T NOTICE .
In reply to analyst-kid
Yeah today they did more ramblings than commentating
You couldn't even just listen to hear the ball by ball
Comms must understand this is a regional tournament with the Windwards playing...some research on Windwards Islands cricket should have been exposed as well as the Super 50 players and teams, regional cricket and the upcoming WC qualifiers.
Instead them talking about horse racing.
