Bajan ODI bats

Painful...most of the time dem don't even look as if they are trying to rotate the strike. For long periods dem would score at 3 and under. I'm talking this year and last year and the fact that Bim is one of the more successful ODI teams says a lot about our ODI standards sad

Sorry wrong room

Hope,Carter,Chase,Dowrich,Brooks,Springer,
Holder,Carlos Brathwaite,Nurse all capable of scoring from 3 an over and then accelerate....the rest will all struggle...only three of these in the current team and only one come off today....that is why im clamouring for Moseley at the top.

My problem is that the speed before acceleration is always too slow and as a result they never score what they should. The other problem with that approach is that the acceleration sometimes never materializes because dem lose the wickets at the very time dem need to accelerate. I am a big fan of Hope but I don't like his approach. If he does not go all the way his run rate is not satisfactory. Cruisin speed should be around 4 plus an over and that requires the intent and that seems to be missing.

Apart from DRS and CB, the team just don't have the power hitters.
Chase is the only present player, seem to be able of turning over the strike

Call a spade a facking spade.

Bim problem is Braffit.

He does not belong.

Last year he scored over 500 runs
but at below 80%

Lets do the maths.

Braffit bats long; 50 overs.
He faces 150 balls at 75% to 80%.
So he scores tween 100 to 115.
This leaves the other to score tween
185 to 200 to make a 300 score.

Too much pressure on other batsmen.

This year is cappo, who sets the stage.
And you wonder y this team will struggle.

Brafitt, sick to 4days till you learn to bat.

Push, push, prod is not batting.

Even poor batsmen put away bad balls.
That's makes you worse than poor.

Finally, this will affect his powers
to concentrate in the coming test series.

Just like last year.

Take a few tests to get going.

Facking wasteful administrator.

And it is going to get worst for him, if he continue with his set up routine.
He has adopted an open stance, but move his left foot in line with his right, just before the ball is delivered, which place his weight on his front leg.
Thats one of the reason he not able to move forward or get his left foot in line, to drive the ball.
I notice that in the NZ practice match.
Brooks is taking a page out of Smith and Amla's set up, by moving to the offside, prior to the delivery, both of his feet is moving, that means he is transferring his weight, something that Kraigg is not doing

analyst-kid 2018-02-18 11:46:31

Last year Kraigg scored near 500 runs with an average of 53.77 a scoring rate is 65.40...this year Brathwaite is averaging 19.87 with a SR of 51.46....this is unacceptable for an opener in one day cricket.
