One of the commentators even remarked that she found it odd, that at the end of Holder's spell..nobody acknowledged him, no congrats, no hi fives.
I also noticed how on the fall of a wicket...the response was...lackluster...and i dont mean muted celebrations like the teams of the 80s, like...pros just going about their business..but more like...this doesn't matter..and we dont want to be here.
Is it all in my head?

Something seems off with the team chemistry

That was the time when Holder was trying to get the overs quickly to ensure he does not get penalized for slow over rate again. Still WI is a team of indviduals for a long time now.

Did that coincide with Holder's appointment?
The T20 side looks even more lethargic under Brathwaite's captaincy than what we're seeing now with Holder but yeah this team has lacked spirit in the field for a long time now

Sammy's T-20 team was a blip on the radar I suppose, they seemed to enjoy playing together but yes..we've looked disconnected more often than not post Lara days

that's why as much as people can talk about Sammy's place in the team, he inspired the group and that was a sacrifice worth making.. these guys now are cool off the field but all look dead and lost on it

And tbh...Sammy grew into the role.
I wonder if that's what they're trying with Holder.
But he doesn't seem to be cut from the same cloth, a better cricketer maybe.. but the team looks...like a bunch of people thrown together by unfortunate circumstances...wait..

I think such speculation is best avoided.
The captain has to inspire confidence and camaradie among his players or have a senior player who does this.
I know one thing. WI opening bowlers look much better than the ones I saw vs England and New Zealand in the last ODIs.

Yes.
