I am not usually one to accuse selectors of insularity but I think Browne displayed the height of favoritism in selecting this team. I think if the Barbadian players ever felt that their careers were in jeopardy or this tour had implications for their career going forward, one or two would have been included. I think they were given some assirances. Hence the selectors turned to Ramdinwho should never have been dropped in the first place b cause they know he wants to revive his career.
In reply to JOJO
Insular in not picking them?
In reply to doosra
Yes in keeping them in safety ,while sending others to the front line.
In reply to cricketmad
well the others were not forced to go...they made a choice i would assume
In reply to doosra
assume being the operative word..................
In reply to cricketmad
So ure saying they were forced onto the plane??
If everyone had said no CWI would have had to cancel the tour.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Any comparison to former scab teams?
Only Samuel would make a legit T20 squad.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
This tour should have vever occired....Afghanistan after their recent showing...defeating the WI...would have been the better option for Pakistan.
A defending champion should always ahow their best face.
.....but...a few pieces of silver and we tare game....

US $25,000 is not a bad pay day for losing 3 matches
In reply to cricketmad
i don't think anyone had a gun to their head
In reply to doosra
This is a bullshit argument. These are players who are either attempting to stake a place on the team or attempting to revive their careers (and Ramdin should have never been in this situation).
There are players from Barbados in a similar situation and it is my contention that they were given certain assurances. No, I dont have proof but past team selection (under chief selector Browne) coupled with the selection of this team, just makes the situation seem nasty.
In reply to doosra
Ramdin turning down selection when he is trying to revive his career is tantamount to there being a gun to his head-especially when he was not given a fair shake to begin with.
In reply to JOJO
Well well well. You too? After all the times coming here and setting people straight I didntvexpect this B.S. from you. Courtesy must be saying I told you so!
In reply to doosra
A gun is not the only weapon !
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Yes I call out bullshit when I see it, irrespective of nationality and I was willing to give Browne the benefit of the doubt...until now.
In reply to JOJO
WTF!!!

da fcukin theory stump Stephen Hawkins and Einstein in dem tomb

In reply to JOJO
How many Bajans play in Windies t20 team? Is Browne the only selector?
People who went on this tour did so voluntarily. You can have all the conspiracy theories you want.
In reply to JOJO
Emrit?
Permaul?
Mohammed?
Kesrick?
Smith?
Walton?
Fletcher?

And this kinda fixing is legal....

Dude you earn selection to a T20 International West Indies squad, by performance in the regional CPL or IPL or the bigbash.
It is crazy to believe going to Pakistan for a three match tour, a tournament and place were no other International team would accept at this time, can revive anyone career.
