I have it. Made in Enmore my home village. Excellent stuff.
A rare single-distillate heritage rum linked to the old Enmore Estate founded nearly 200 years ago.
EHP was the marque used by the distillery attached to this sugar estate founded by Edward Henry Porter. His original Wooden Continuous Coffey Still, used to produce this unique rum, is the last surviving one operating in the world today.
This distinctive medium bodied spirit, aged in small batches, owes its delicate aromatic character to this original process and to its maturation in oak barrels in the perfect warehouse conditions of 30°-34°C.
Tasting Notes:
Butterscotch nose blended with roasted coconut and apple. An initial taste of baked peach and coconut with a smoky cedar finish. Excellent mouth feel.

The best advise you can give a friend is to not consume any alcohol beverage. They will be "healthier, richer and happier for it."
New research has discovered alcohol consumption is a leading cause of unhappiness .
Drink home made fruit drinks instead.

Last Christmas I was visitting a relative and we started drinking el darado 12 and 15. He ask me if I want a bottle. Of course, I wouldn't refuse, so he brought a bottle and gift wrap it and so on. When I opened the gift, it, it was a bottle of el dorado 21. I still haven't open the bottle, waiting on a special occasion....but a friend who doesn't drink, is telling me to go ahead and open it, because he has another bottle and will give me.
So, this time I will agree with Emir, ppl shouldn't drink rum, just give it to me.

There is no such thing as a good rum.
That said it is hard not to consume alcohol when your job requires networking/Social gatherings.

I drink rum for health benefits. Alcohol is a vasodilator and helps blood to flow freely. Im just looking at my cardiovascular health.

I believe in moderation- a good mix of fruits, vegetables and yes meat- of the lean kind and chicken without the skin, is good. (Don't eat commercial fried chicken- fry your own at home without the skin- try frying it on the oven without oil)
Eat small quantities at a time, have meals on time and stay far far away from store purchase deserts and packaged manufactured foods.
When cooking, use no more than a tea spoon of oil and don't over cook vegetables.
In general, this will help with the quality of life, even when you genes predisposes you to diabetes, heart diseases and cancer.

Not drinking anything dat is Gay. Therefore Mount Gay Rum is out of the question.I would stick to Jay Ray and Nephew Overproof White but i quit drinking many moons ago.

I'm biased when it comes to rum.
However for me, there's two sets of rum...rum that you mix, and rum that you sip.
Nothing is better than El Dorado rum [Guyanese bias confirmed]
El Dorado 3,5,8 and 12...mix awa
as a yute you start with the 3 year old and as economic circumstances improve, so does the age of the rum you drink
El Dorado 15....probably the 2nd best rum they make
El Dorado 21, a close 3rd place
El Dorado 25......if mana was mixed with ambrosia and combined with the mead of nordic gods....it probably won't even come close to El Dorado 25 year old.
Everyone's rum drinking tendencies differ though....so you have to graduate to the 15 year and older...else you may not appreciate it as much.
Seen guys get the 21 year old to stunt with, and mixing it.....i'm like y'all some real rasses

Oddly enough, the Mount Gay Eclipse rum is drinking better these days than the Xtra Old. Don't know why.
Those smooth el Dorado rums for sipping only. For a lime, enjoying Eclipse or 3/5 yr old El Dorado
