HEADLINE: Windies facing Test demotion?

Without saying a word…without spitting out sentences in anger…West Indians, all over the world have been embarrassed again, shamed...Their lives now indelibly stained by the notation of a demotion.
Demotion is never easy to accept, especially when one believes rightfully or wrongfully that it is unfair, unjustified, inequitable and downright unnecessary.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced last week, what we all expected but still hoped would not materialize, that the West Indies team is now outside of the top eight ranked teams in Test cricket for the first time in our history. And I should say, that takes some doing, given the teams below us, as only Zimbabwe has recently been introduced back into the Test arena and newcomers Ireland and Afghanistan will shortly join the fray. Effectively we are last.
Naturally, if all of this mattered to Cricket West Indies (CWI), then there could be serious concern among the various territorial boards and even in the countries themselves, but sadly that is not the case. Because like it or not, Insularity has not only raised its ugly head under this current administration but it has also soared to new heights.

Why is this news, we have been regressing for the past two decades. The inept ICC and Caricom allows such or the Administrators on such boards would have been held accountable as The Citizens of Australia demands.
CWI noted, it reports to no one,it cannot be held accountable. In the West Indies no one cares anymore.
We lost over two generation of Cricket fans but we making a profit. sigh

What is Mr. Baptiste trying to achieve in this article?
"And I should say, that takes some doing, given the teams below us"
"Effectively we are last"
I think Baptiste needs a new dictionary on the definition of 'effectively', but moving on.
He then goes on to pick on the atmosphere in various territories.
It's as though he's slamming the CWI board, but then 'throwing shade' to the various regional boards.
Is he suggesting that insularity is making everybody timid when it comes to challenging the Board's vision?
This article appears to be missing something. Some kind of suggestion to *anybody* on what needs to happen to avert the slide into the abyss of mens' Test cricket.

Ah, well if it's a call-out for T&T to take the lead with regard to pulling out of CWI and applying as an Associate, then they should stand by it and not beat around the bush.
Nothing wrong with such aspirations if they truly exist.

That 's it.
That is all that matters to Cameron a "profit"
Everything else from hiring different people to fill different roles to making sure the territories vote for him always is his mantra.
My COUNTRY TT NEEDS TO WAKE UP.
They need to get Bassarath and his co voters for Cameron out of there.
They are both part of this "cancer" that is "CWI" .
Trinidad needs to get a coalition with Barbados and Jamaica to force Cameron out.
This is the joke of the year.
