WHY THE QP OVAL IS EMPTY...

The number of match officials, media and other essential employees are greater than the number of fans at a venue that has historically been a sacred cricket stadium.

We've been too busy making WICB/CWI and by extension, the Big IDIOT, scapegoats for non-performance of the West Indies, too busy to notice that it's all the fans fault.

Now that the stadium is EMPTY (void of fans), just look at the TEAM perform out of their skins.

Keep it going, guys!

Contrast this with the almost soldout crowd at the Jamaica National Stadium for the Jamaica Gran Prix athletics meet this weekend.

People have to buy tickets to get in the ground, and tickets costs money. So it may well be a case of affordability.....

Fan Apathy where this form of the game is concerned.

You can debate & come up with all the explanations and excuses you want but that’s the simple and undeniable fact

Hmmmmmmmm.........

If the fans knew that Lara were batting it would be a different story. People will always come to see good batting or in anticipation of what a master batsman might do.

We have to separate West Indies Cricket from the WICBC/CWI/Windies.

Our players are trying hard despite the WICBC/CWI.

So, its not about money.

It is about marketing and the WICBC did nothing to market the series, in fact they were hoping to cancel the series in favor of an ODI MASH UP

After watching Dowrich fumble whole day yesterday, I have better things to do... rain might fall and save us anyways

The future of Windies cricket as far as crowd attendance is concerned, is and will be the so called dots or smaller islands like Dominica, St Kitts, St Lucia and Antigua.

For one, there is not a sports diversity like in the bigger islands and Barbados.

The irony is that these islands (probably with the exception of Antigua) have been treated like crap by the very selectors and WICB in the past both for player selection and match venues.
