Golf Clubs of Choice

I am looking to replace my 18 year old clubs. Which one would you recommend for a mid to high handicap player?

Does Brand matter?

What's your budget? You need to take out a small mortgage to afford golf clubs these days Bro. lol

Less than a grand? You can't even find a decent set of used clubs these days for less than a grand.

Anyways, I recommend these.

I got fitted for them a few months ago but didn't end up buying since my current Titleist irons have at least one more season left in them.

But those Mizuno MP-18 SC's are butter soft, very forgiving, and launch beautifully. You would probably have them in the bag for another 18 years.

awesome, I will stop by EdwinWatts and test them out.

I am looking the Taylor Made M2 as well.

Oh yes, those TaylorMade M2 irons are very good too.

I know a guy who bought a set and he said the ball literally flies off the face of those clubs. The only problem is that it becomes difficult at times holding the greens because the ball comes off so hot off the face.

What set are you playing with now?

mixture of Taylor Made Drivers (old) and Wilson irons

Those M2 irons will be like chalk and cheese in comparison to your Wilson's. You'll be 10-15 yards longer on each club from 4-PW.

I say get em Bro.

I have found the M1 driver very easy to hit.

Irons are very individualized...but callaway comes to mind.

Also i regret not having a 3 hybrid earlier.

I have not tried hybrids. why the regrets?

Boy...much easier than 3 or 4 iron...serious stroke savers...and useful out of the rough...also easier to hit a fade shot...i sometimes choke down and play a cut if i have like a 180 yard needing to get around a tree or something.

Bro, if you have an ailment, you will go to a doctor.
If you need to buy golf clubs, check with a certified golf pro and get fitted.

In reply to googleyTry out the Ping G400. This is a great set, Amazing driver. Irons are very forgiving.

Get fitted for a new set. There are many good clubs out there, try similar clubs from different brands and the decision would likely be made for you.

About 2 years ago I was set on getting the Titleist AP 2 however, after doing some comparison with other brands I settled on the Callaway Xr, I just hit them better. Also, some clubs are made for better players, don’t get caught up with a specific brand or set.

Thanks for the advice fellas.

Getting fitted seems like the way to go and do a lot of testing before settling on my clubs.
