When is Crandon going to get a chance to coach a team?

Bestian 2018-06-27 09:34:23

Very good squad..I wonder if they will use this match as a trial for the upcoming tests? I would love to see Shayne Moseley and Romario Shepherd in the test team, sooner rather than later.

Will be Interesting too see Joseph, Smith, Shepherd bowling together as a unit. Some of our young future pacers in action.

Don't forget Harding. He is potentially the quickest of the lot

CWI has definitely implemented the “go it alone” policy

For Trinidad & Tobago

cool

Isn't that policy been in force over the last 50 years or more.

No it hasn’t.

There have been West Indian teams in that period where Trini’s have had he majority picks.

But honestly.....aside from Gabriel, Evin Lewis, and Ramdin....there aren’t that many viable candidates from T&T

Cariah got selected to an a team squad after scoring runs in regional competition but didn’t play a single match

Emrit has been a top performer regionally but hardly gets any opportunity on a WI team

Imran Khan regularly takes numerous wickets in regional FC cricket and is no slouch with the bat but hasnt been selected to any WI team

The one exception is Jason Mohammed who does get selected to WI teams based on performance in regional cricket. I stand by opinion that he cannot bat and his returns in international cricket support that.

I don’t think any of them (ok...maybe Emrit) is international material, so I have no issue with them not being called up. But if the stated criteria for selection is performance in regional competition and they could bring back Devon Smith, I can understand the advocates of these players being aggrieved.

We all know that the Bravo brothers, Pollard, Narine, Ramdin, Simmons, and Rampaul will not be selected to a WI team in Test or ODI cricket under this CWI administration. And Their non selection has nothing to do with performance on the field

The King guy from Jamaica couldn't get a look-in

When last did those players play in our regional 4 day competition? and if so what were their stats like?

imusic 2018-06-27 14:49:45

In reply to Bestian

Devon Smith always plays in the regional 4 day tournament. And dominates.

What are his stats like?

Nice to see that Ambrose has worked his way back into the coaching set up. He did the right thing and got his coaching certificate.

Again no player from Trinidad

Watch Vishaul Singh score a hundred and put the selection process in total confusion!

Tage is getting opportunities....but in my view he is stagnant...even tho he is 21....he made the Guyana FC team at 16...in my view no tangible improvement

Shiv must put two box in he ears....and cut him off from any financial assistance...let his survive on the Guyana retainer contract

mikesiva 2018-06-27 15:20:32

If Hetmyer is fit enough to play in this match then he should play in the tests.
