These young players have done wonderfully against big names .
Despite the WICBC, our talent is never short, we just need leadership

Serious talent coming through in Guyana cool
If I recall correctly, you've been talking about him for a few years now.
You have good eyes for talents. Keep going.....
In reply to anthonyp
You can tell when someone has talent! On another thread I pointed that out after seeing him bat once! However, some Armchair quarterback tried to say otherwise by bringing up statistics!
I was feeling sorry for WI B after Gayle, Russell and company blasted them out of the ground for 215 in their 20 overs. When WI B lost 3 quick wickets, it looked like the pressure was too much for them, despite Rutherford's budding innings at one end.
When Pooran came in and made it clear that he too was ready for a fight, against anybody, Rutherford really came to life and unloaded the heavy artillery! By the time Pooran exited, Bramble was so inspired that he couldn't do anything wrong.
A match for the ages - and a knock for the ages! This is the kind of match that you would like to have on a disk or flash drive - and watch over and over! Well, maybe not if you are Dre Rus, Southee and the other Vancouver Knights bowlers!

Watched some highlights, couldn't believe what I was seeing and against the very best...wow

Remarkable innings. IS he really this good???
This is where CWI has failed. The talent is there...no doubt about this. Anyone who scores this quantum of runs in such a dire situation and against international bowlers has to have ability. It is how this talent is recognized and harnessed that's the problem.
There ought to be that next layer of developmental resources which are made available to such talent.

And that is the disconnect, because after this i don't think there is nothing else for these guys in terms of sticking together as a unit to develop and make a career out of cricket.
Yep the 'A' team has a tour but I don't see anything else
Maybe they should try to get some of these guys playing in other leagues around the world. Like even small T20 tourneys.
Cause we do need a good crop of T20 players to come up cause the best there is is Lewis and Simmons (as bats to some extend) and maybe Emrit as bowler Not taking into account the more senior established guys.
In reply to Dukes
Hola...Dukesy the man is good..CPL needs to get him in..someone needs to get sick in ahurry...the most important thing is the man is fearless....and his a no nonsense play with big heart and believes in himself...that is avery good sign...but his sixes were well stroked and massive..so is Bramble..
Oh well lets see how it turns out the boy very jokey too...he is from Fyrish...so he keep telling all the Guyanese he from Buxtttton..thats what I like a playful side with all races.

I remember seeing him hit an impressive 50 odd in a first class game last season and thinking what a good batsmen he looks...certainly got great timing and power...bit concerned about his bowling action though.

Yep. We have to create avenues to facilitate entry into the next higher level.
In reply to CITYBOY
Cityboy Spudz, Fyrish is the Buxton of Berbice!
In reply to CITYBOY
I have heard of Fyrish.I, also know that it has a reputation for producing tough, no-nonsense individuals who know how to fight. I remember looking at the Guyana team and thinking that they have two teenage fast bowling all-rounders in Paul and Rutherford and when you add in Reifer you have 3 fast bowling all-rounders.I also saw Rutherford getting a 90 odd for Guyana and thinking he is pretty good especially when I saw that he had pretty good bowling stats.
In reply to StumpCam
Fryrish? I think that honor goes to Manchester.
