The Caribbean Premier League CPL is now in its 6th year can anyone name 5 players that the CPL has brought through into the WI T20 team. I can only name one R Powell.

The WI T20 team has just lost 2-1 to the Bangla team, 2 or 3 of the players of the WI team go as far back to the Stanford era most of the rest of the team would have played in T20 competition organised by CWI. So, in six years we can’t identify any new players. So where are the batsmen with the scoops and the hoops and the bowler with sliders and riders it seems we are not producing them but recycling players who should be given their P45 a long time ago. IMO apart from the excitement partying and jumping up and the entertainment it provides in cricketing term the CPL is a failure.
The problem I think is with the draft, I may be wrong and can be corrected but no one seems to go scouting to the local T20 competitions in the individual countries and identify raw talent and potential and bring them into the teams

I will give you Keswick Williams but not Evin Lewis he was actively playing T20 for T&T in 2012 before the CPL

The players that playing the CPL tell you them want to play for the windies.......the players that in the CPL using that as a stepping stone for the other PL (IPL).....just saying.

In the IPL they give their under 19s and under23s a run

In CPL they trot out all the washed up international have been...no development considerations. CPL is about profit making
