Knight Riders ready for any rival
Bravo lauds squads versatility
TRINBAGO Knight Riders (TKR) captain Dwayne Bravo said it is important to have players who can fill gaps, after the team had to make the decision to move opener Sunil Narine down the batting order against the Guyana Amazon Warriors because of a tooth problem.
TKR thrashed the Amazon Warriors by 67 runs at the Queens Park Oval on Wednesday night, to take control of top spot in the Hero Caribbean Premier League standings with two matches to go before playoffs start. Narine, who has opened for TKR for the entire season with no success, made room for the in-form Colin Munro to open. Munro, who has the most runs in the tournament with 436, struck 90 off 56 deliveries with 10 fours and four sixes to lead TKR to 170 for seven batting first. Amazon Warriors were then dismissed for 103 in 17.4 overs to give TKR two easy points.
After the match, TKR captain Dwayne Bravo discussed Narines demotion. This morning (Wednesday) we had to rush him to the hospital. He had to take out a tooth today (Wednesday)...we removed him from opening just to give him more time to rest and come into the game, he said.

Pierre happy to make an impact when needed
DESPITE not owning a permanent spot in the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) starting XI for the 2018 Hero Caribbean Premier League, Khary Pierre is happy to make an impact on the team when called upon. The left-arm spinner displayed another top performance on Wednesday to help the Knight Riders to a 67-run win over Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Queens Park Oval.
Pierre snatched two for 21 in four overs in his third match of the tournament, and the Queens Park cricketer now has six wickets for the tournament. His economy rate of 5.75 runs per over is the lowest in the tournament among bowlers with at least six wickets. Pierre is ranked 21st among the top wicket takers in the tournament, ahead of his team-mate Sunil Narine who has played eight matches. Narine has been economical at 7.08 per over, but has struggled to take wickets with only four scalps under his name and is ranked 26th.

Ali Khan, the 27-year-old fast bowler who resides in Ohio, elicited further interest after his solid campaign with Hawks when he got called up for a CPL gig
with Trinbago Knight Riders as a replacement player.
You must be very confident if you think the TKRs players are elsewhere.

Tallawahs bowling and batting are very strong...esp batting is deep..Narine cannot pelt anymore so he is a non-factor.

Narine is economical if he bowls 4 over fer 20 runs it gives us an edge.
Look at T&T batting, partnership at the top six carrying us to number one position.
Dre Russ had his day of sunshine at QPO, dem TKR gats a plan fer Tallawahs batting.
Dre Russ falls your team will collapse.
TKR gats the advantage. also playing at home helps.
