Recently, one of the chief hitmen in the conquering arsenal of West Indies fast bowlers in the 1970s, Andy Roberts, voiced his concerns about the failed state of the region's cricket. Specifically mentioned by the Antiguan was the coaching crisis which has seen incumbent Australian Stuart Law quit the post, after a mere two years.
It was a period which saw less -than-meaningful improvement in the Test arena, where the team won two of six series, and those were against fellow lowly ranked Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. Eight limited-overs series were played and the West Indies lost them all. Law's announced registration makes four head coaches to have occupied the seat in nine years. To use this columnist's words, Roberts claimed that this rate of attrition was due to frustration, as the coaches were being given poor cricketers with whom to work. He went on to say that no longer in evidence was this "abundance of talent". The demon pacer should not have ended it there. There are reasons for the state of affairs which he highlights. One is sure that he is aware, and, as such, his respected voice should have also touched on them.

In my opinion , there needs to be a
serious OPEN discussion with the various Cricket Boards in the Region ;
Former Players ; Current Players &
Cricket Fans in the Region .
Quite frankly , I am of the belief
that Those in the governance of West
Indies Cricket imperial Attitude is
a major Problem in the Region .
THEY MISTAKEN BELIEVE THAT THEY &
ONLY THEY HAVE THE SOLUTIONS TO
CRICKET IN THE REGION , WHICH IS
PATENTLY ABSURD & FALSE .
They mistakenly believe that THEY &
ONLY THEY have the solutions to all
the Problems regarding Cricket .
What is truly sad is that most of those in the Region who claim to be
Sports Journalists agree with this
asinine Idea .
THIS IS DESPITE THE FACT THAT SINCE
1TS FOUNDING IN THE LATE 1920'S THE
WICBC/CWI HAS BLUNTLY REFUSED TO
CHANGE ITS ARCHAIC STRUCTURE .
Then WE have to deal with the Regional Governments some of whom have allied themselves with the Worst International Cricket Board in
the Commonwealth .
They have done this to get money from avid Foreign Cricket fans who
come to also go to the Beaches and get well tanned . Those Governments
in my opinion must not be considered
as being helpful to the cause of making Our Players Fully Competitive
in the International Cricket Arena .
Most of the Charlatans in the Region
who profess to be Sports Journalists
are always in the Camp of the WICBC/CWI . They apparently have be NEUTERED & Cowed by the WICBC/CWI .
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THOSE
GOVERNMENTS WHO DESIRE CHANGES IN
THE STRUCTURE OF WEST INDIES CRICKET
SUMMON UP THEIR TESTICULAR FORTITUDE
AND TAKE THE WICBC/CWI TO COURT .
I have absolutely no doubt that THEY
WILL SUCCEED . THE BCCI & THE WICBC/
CWI HAVE SIMILAR STRUCTURES , IT
MUST BE NOTED THAT THE SUPREME COURT
OF INDIA REMOVED THE PRESIDENT OF
THE BCCI FROM HIS POSITION AS THE
PRESIDENT OF THE BCCI .
This happened because HE failed to
comply with what the Court Ordered .
Interestingly the Almighty ICC ,
that perpetually claims that Governments MUST NOT intervene in
Cricket was nowhere in Sight .

short Memories :
WHEN THE GOVERNMENT OF GUYANA TOOK
THE GUYANA CRICKET BOARD TO COURT
NEITHER THE ICC OR THE WICBC WENT TO
THE COURT ON BEHALF OF THE GCB .
For to long WE have been Bamboozled
by the ICC stupid and false utterances . It sent a letter to the
Supreme Court of India , and that letter was completely ignored by the
India Supreme Court .
It is only the Lackeys in the Region who support the WICBC/CWI claim that it is a Private Entity which is a farce , It depends on Public Cricket Fields ; it depends on Governments
providing Security . So the ICC & its Members need to stop their asinine Propaganda .
People in the Region need to take a
very Sober look at the fact that since its inception ;
THE PEOPLE IN THE WICBC/CWI HAVE
BLUNTLY REFUSED TO CHANGE ITS
STRUCTURE . MEANWHILE THE LACKEYS OF
THE WICBC/CWI REMAIN SILENT
REGARDING THE GROSS INCOMPETENCE OF
THOSE IN THE GOVERNANCE OF CRICKET
IN THE REGION .
