Pundit's bumpy journey with luxury SUV
A Hindu pundit who bought a brand new Audi Q-7 SUV for over $670,000 from a local car dealership two years ago, is seeking to get his money back after his high-end luxury vehicle left him with nightmares.
Ramakrishna Persad, of Waterloo Road, Perseverance Village, Couva wants Southern Sales and Service Company to give him a full refund claiming the vehicle the company sold to him was defective.
The purchase was made in July 2016 and he received it on September 15 that same year.
Persad said the vehicle is now parked up because of a number of defects.
In a pre-action protocol letter sent to the car dealership by his attorney Prem Persad Maharaj, dated July 25, Maharaj said the SUV underwent repairs for defects before it was delivered to Persad.
Subsequent to licensing and registration, my client received a call from a company director indicating that delivery of the vehicle had to be withheld as the sensors for the side air-bag and the control unit were defective, Maharaj wrote in the letter.
He said Persad was offered a courtesy vehicle and the offer of three free vehicle services at 5,000 kilometres, 15,000 kilometres and 25,000 kilometres inclusive of parts and labour as compensation for the delay in delivery.
Eager to take possession of his dream car, Persad agreed to the terms.

The Pundit can afford it because there are enough stupid brain dead people who freely give him money to chant a bunch of hocus pocus on Sundays to an imaginary Sky Daddy.
And of course all that free money given to the Pundit is....tax free!

I have ethics Bro.
And I have zero interest in brain washing people (especially young people) to believe in some bronze aged fairy tale nonsense.

I know this family, the father had three sons, the Dad worked for my family in the Cocoa fields.
Three sons became Pandits moved to various areas of T&T,
and you can see the sudden wealth. The sons became wealthy
by being a man of God. It just doesn't make sense.
I thought that such figures gave their life to god and helped fellow humans with earnings. Maybe such principles have changed.
I know very little about religion but in a country like T&T
where poverty stares one in the face daily, this man is a man of god, well supposedly !!!!.
Why does he need such an expensive car?
Do Pandits or religious figures have a status symbol?
In Moruga, we had Pandits. They were school teachers, none had a car, rode a black Raleigh bicycle. They were never in this character's mode of wealth.
This is what's puzzling me.

Playing Devil's Advocate here.....
Why can't the Pandit still do that AND live their lives how they feel... buy a motor bike or a benz.....
Are these two events mutually exclusive?
BTW, I donate my time, effort, & take my money and buy food for those in need... I don't give pandits my money.......

Why would you need to service a Q7 at 5k Kilometers?
The first service for a new Audi is 15000 KM

Sometimes it is the time between services and not the distance.

Bought 2 Audis and several other vehicles from them brand new and typically they do a 1-5k km inspection/service/'screw tightening' .
Had problems with a new A6 first week but they rectified it forthwith.
Power steering pump went first 2 weeks and segmented gear lever gate broke if a drop of sticky got on it and you move it,happened days after delivery....
Was a new model so first time glitches were discovered on them,I believe it's the same with that new model Q7 at the time..
Don't know how it can reach to this though, they addressed my problems under warranty..

So much wrong info there.
Guy doesn't live any way near that area, pic in photo right by me, 1 min walk.
And he isn't a pundit by career, he is an officer.
