Has anybody raised their hand?
To be considered for selection to the senior team?
Has anyone made a strong case?
Matches being played to empty stadiums, compared to the CPL..this is abysmal

Regional List A tournament a failure

Valid questions....
The CPL is played to sold-out crowds in most matches, and that feverish excitement spills over on to the field. For example, Cottrell always pulls out the salute in the CPL, but can't be bothered in the Super50 because there's no fans to cheer him on. Also, our T20 players can go on to become world leaders on the T20 circuit, and the West Indies are defending champions. In contrast, we're nowhere near the reckoning in the 50-overs game.
Who's made a strong case in the 50-overs format so far?
Batsmen (those scoring over 200 runs and averaging over 40)
1) Nicholas Pooran (TT) 283 runs @ ave of 56.60 @ SR of 125.77
2) Jonathan Carter (Bdos) 269 runs @ ave of 44.83 @ SR of 70.60
3) Chris Barnwell (Guy) 256 runs @ ave of 64.00 @ SR of 93.43
4) Jermaine Blackwood (Jca) 241 runs @ ave of 48.20 @ SR of 77.24
5) Lendl Simmons (TT) 235 runs @ ave of 47.00 @ SR of 99.57
6) John Campbell (Jca) 232 runs @ ave of 58.00 @ SR of 93.92
7) Raymon Reifer (Guy) 217 runs @ ave of 72.33 @ SR of 83.46
Rahkeem Cornwall (Lee) 214 runs @ ave of 53.50 @ SR of 101.42
Bowlers (those averaging less than 20 and taking more than 10 wickets)
1) Yannick Ottley (CCC) 13 wkts @ ave of 10.46 @ ER of 2.81
2) Larry Edwards (Wind) 13 wkts @ ave of 16.30 @ ER of 4.00
3) Rahkeem Cornwall (Lee) 13 wkts @ ave of 19.69 @ ER of 3.76
4) Ramaal Lewis (Guy) 12 wkts @ ave of 15.16 @ ER of 3.91
5) Nikita Miller (Jca) 11 wkts @ ave of 14.00 @ ER of 3.34
6) Clinton Pestano (Guy) 11 wkts @ ave of 16.90 @ ER of 3.95
7) Alick Athanaze (Wind) 11 wkts @ ave of 18.81 @ ER of 4.48
Shamar Springer (Bdos) 11 wkts @ ave of 18.81 @ ER of 4.40
Of course, there are two more rounds to go, and the knockout stage, so this list may change.
Do I think that our fortunes will change if we replace the bunch of jokers currently in India with this lot? No, I don't....
In reply to mikesiva pity we have no Academy, where you send the ones below 25, to assist their development.

yes! but we might need to further qualify these performances. We might need some type of regional west vs regional east games to put the best against the best.

Thanks for the stats...
Disregard all batsmen with SR < 80
Leaves some of the usual suspects..
Pooran, Simmons, Cornwall, Campbell, Reifer
The bowlers.. I'm more interested in SR, economy and ability to think on one's feet

One major difference is that the pitches in CPL where at the best they have ever been. I'm surprised when the Super 50 started, the first game at kensington, the ball was already gripping. You won't get good cricket so. Nothing there for seamers and batsmen.
