Why not blame the board when

the buck stops with them. Ultimately they are the guardians of WI cricket and they have allowed it to fall to this embarrassing state.

I am not saying they are the only villains. Players as well have self-indulgent and unappreciative. But it is the WICB/CWI who have to be above board.

I have lost all regard I had for the likes of the Bravos, Pollard, Simmons and to a lesser extent Gayle for the purely selfish interest in a game that has brought them their wealth, given that much was invested in them at various stages in their careers.

The board didn't manage these deviants properly. In fact they are part of the problem and have shown lack of vision.

Sadly regional supporters have been largely biased n crab-like in attitude.

We have the crab in the barrel mentality syndrome in the Caribbean.

Too much fast food...(tm Dukes)

What has the following done to improve Windies Cricket?

Jimmy Adams

CEO

Pybus..etc etc

The players have seen how WICB/CWI treat players in
the past, use them then dump them under the bus.

The T20 leagues have given players the opportunity to
secure their future, other Boards gats plans to help
players reach such.
CWI just got a Health Insurance Plan for all players.

Look at CARICOM a consensus cannot be reached about West Indies Cricket...Antigua has bolted from the others.

Ever wonder why the ICC snubbed the Caricom Premiers meeting by not showing up last month?

Then look at all Caricom leaders graduates of UWI, leading
their respective countries to Bankruptcy.

The Caribbean lacks citizens with leadership abilities,
they have all left, building other countries, the ones left are bottom dwellers. They couldn't run a small country shop.

CWI will extend contracts soon to this fall downs.

redface redface

lol...you still blaming the stars when they dont even play for West Indies...YOU ALL WERE THE PROBLEM!

The only constant is the fans and the WICB who went to war with their own players for years.

100 years from now you guys still will be blaming the "Stars" lol.

InHindsight 2018-12-03 05:32:43

Yeah I still hold them responsible for the break in continuity. They aren't around either to maintain strength or to pass on their experiences to the younger ones.

If lil Bravo was around it wouldn't be as bad as this for example. Issue? Both Bravo and the board.

InHindsight 2018-12-03 05:38:13

Call Shiv selfish he rises above all this.

How was he treated by the board for all he did????

Go ask retired Indian Stars.

All those who felt players were the problem and hell bent on running them out of WI cricket are now bawling how they did not pass on their experience...

When the T20 winning team was dismantled in the name of fresh blood where were you?

Its a joke to see some posters in here blaming the players. Just a few years they were still blaming Lara. These fans are naive and simply don't understand the nature of cricket as a business and players as a value asset and as a human.

Both the Board and the players have to take some blame. The Board for their inflexible eligibility policy and the players for their seeming reluctance to bybass a few domestic tournaments once in a while to play in their own.

It doesn't take rocket science to link our competitiveness in T20 cricket to the fact that our best players are available for the regional tournament.

The Cricket Boards around the world courted our players for T20 tournaments based on their mass crowd appeal and while they were well paid for their services the regional game suffered because our best were consistently unavailable to play the Four Day and Super 50 Competitions.

The ICC has not helped by sanctioning all these domestic tournaments without setting proper guidlines that would allow for the minimal disruption of the fortunes of its members. It appears dat once the big three or four are happy, the rest can see for themselves

… but according to you we never won with them, so where is the break, we still continue to lose!

Well I am on record ,in this Forum being very critical of the Worst
International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth , aka the WICBC since
January 2003 .

Now this is 15 freaking years , and
there is concrete evidence that the Stewardship of the WICBC has got worse
with every passing day .

Sadly there seems to be no end to the Colossal Incompetence of those
in the WICBC ; aka

THE WORST INTERNATIONAL CRICKET

BOARD IN THE COMMONWEALTH .
