For some reason occupying the crease with dour defense is recommended as a virtue. That is recommended as a preferred mode of cricket against the T20 style which was again ridiculed by Cameron.
What is not being taught is that, batsmen should try to score freely without taking risks. They should be asked to see the batsmen around the world or even the 277 by Lara where the batsmen try to score without risk most of the time.
