The English dictated where they wanted to play

Cameron bent over backwards and wide open to haccommodate

Gayle won't be getting an International farewell game in Jamaica then.

I guess CWI don't need the $$$ they could have received from it.

nat 2018-12-04 14:07:46

In reply to sgtdjones that will be another painful series

This tour reminds me of the good old days when international cricket in the West Indies was played during the dry season. They didn't play international cricket during the rainy season or the hurricane season. How I miss the good old days.

The last time I saw England, I had to buy two tickets from a scalper, at $100 us each.
It was either the Party stand, or a scalper.
I was staying at Almonds resort in Christ Church, hundreds of British fans, was there, as an All inclusive, these guests had lunch boxes prepared for them, as they load the buses.
Kensington will be sold out

Correct is right...and the WICB caved in to ECB demands.

So much for using home advantage to our benefit. In these tourist resorts, England fans will outnumber WI fans, so our guys will feel like they're playing an away series.

It's a rare occasion to see cricket being played in Jan-March, like the good old days. Of course, this is better for England fans, who want to get away from the dreary, cold weather in the UK during these months.

It does not matter where the CWI team plays in the Caribbean. Locals will always be outnumbered as we no longer care about CWI cricket.

The only thing missing now in those days we had players
that knew how to play the game.

Barbados wasn't given a game when the tour schedule was made up.
The ECB stepped in and told CWI that if they cannot play any games in Barbados, they are not coming. That is how Barbados got the first test, and two ODIs.

That is some ECB clout, Richie Rich... smile

You're a good man who just reminded me of Lawrence Rowe's majestic 302 against England at Kensington. Anyone on the current team capable of making 300 against England?
