POINT, First Class Games England Played on Tour?

goofballs 2019-01-24 18:15:50

Did they get match practice?
Acclimatized?
Biting them in their Bunny now.
After cold winter, stuffing for Christmas, coming into hot hot WI, they must feel the heat now.
If they had spent more some time with some real competition, nothing like this fiasco would have happened with their top class batting.

Those who do not follow basics, will suffer.
If you can't hear, will feel.

Plain case of lack of acclimatization and match practice.

Generally I look at the Stats of Our Players versus the stats of the Teams they are Playing against in the International Cricket Arena .

THE STATISTICS ARE EXCEEDING STARK !!

Most of Our Players Statics are not
on Par with their Opponents ; as a
result , the outcome of matches is
seldom indoubt .

Some People in this Forum are crowing about the fact that England
Players only made 77 in their first innings .

LOST ON SOME PEOPLE IS THE STARK

FREAKING FACT THAT CURRENTLY IT IS

WINTER IN ENGLAND AND THAT POSSIBLY

MAY BE THE CAUSE OF THEIR POOR

PERFORMANCES .

I recall that the Wise men at the helm of West Indies Cricket in their
usual Stupidity , agreed to play a Test Series in England in early Spring , in the Northern Part of England .

OUR PLAYERS PLAYED A TEST MATCH ON

THAT FREAKING TOUR , WHEN ALL OTHER

CRICKET MATCHES IN ENGLAND WERE NOT

PLAYED DUE TO THE COLDNESS OF THE

WEATHER .

Tony Cozier was critical of Shillingford having his hands in his
pockets while Fielding , apparently
it had escaped his mind that this was Shillingford's first Tour of
England .

The next Test Match in my opinion will demonstrate whether or not Our
Players can bowl out England for under 100 runs again.

My take is that They will be much more competitive in other matches .
Karma is indeed a Bitch !!!

I recall when Our Players & Team were the Best in the World , it was
decided to change the Tour Schedule , that accommodated matches between
the Test Matches .

It was those matches that got Our
Players accustomed to the Weather &
the Pitches .

INTERESTINGLY IN THIS REGION WE DID

NOT HAVE A REGIONAL CRICKET LEAGUE

YET OUR PLAYERS RULED CRICKET ,

LARGELY DUE THAT LONG TOUR SCHEDULE.

THIS IS PRECISELY WHY "KARMA IS

INDEED A BITCH ". OR BETTER YET :

" THE SAME KNIFE STICK SHEEP

ALSO STICK GOAT ".

WICB talking crap about seeking ICC help, touring teams need FC matches more than the domestic teams.

England at times have camps in Dubai during the winter, the team had a month off, after the SL tour.
BTW, England is in the West Indies, England Lions in India.
why is the WICB having breaks during the regional tournament?

The English batting has been heralded for its quality and depth, going all the way down to Curran @#9 ave 30 something in tests with 3 fifties and Rashid having 30+ ave in first class with 10 centuries and 37 fifties.

I am glad our boys were able to rip through them and was hoping they would strike whilst the iron was hot and go for the kill, 2 for 1 before the batsmen regrouped.

I remember that tour to England in the freeze when all they had was a fete match with 15 men batting. Sarwan started as captain.

Few years before that, was the same scene in NZ when there was no time to acclimatize to the cold before being thrown straight into a test match, almost freezing and ball swinging big time.

It could work for both sides but tourists need it most.
Is it really overwork of the players or are they just being skimpish?

I am in agreement with Your assessment . My belief is that the change in the
Tour Schedule was instituted when OUR
PLAYERS were not only the Best in the World .

WE ALSO DID NOT HAVE A REGIONAL

CRICKET LEAGUE . AS I HAVE STATED

OFTEN IN THIS FORUM THE ICC IS A

HOTBED OF INTRIGUE .

Who had the fastest Bowlers in the
World when they decided to institute
the One Bouncer per Over Rule ?????

As I have stated often in this Forum

MUCH MORE CRICKET IS PLAYED IN THE

ICC THAN ON THE CRICKET FIELD ; THE

FACT THAT 4 COUNTRIES DECIDED TO

HIJACK MOST OF THE ICC PROFITS

EASILY COMES TO MY MIND .

The Stark Fact is that WE are currently at or near the bottom of
International Cricket , and as a result Serious People have no respect
for the Jokers in the Worst International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth , aka the WICBC .

PEOPLE IN THE REGION NEED TO FULLY

UNDERSTAND THE FACT THAT

INTERNATIONAL CRICKET IS A VERY

SERIOUS BUSINESS , IT AINT FOR THOSE

WHOSE BUSINESS ACUMEN IS NOT ONLY

SUSPECT , IT AINT FORWARD THINKING .

For years they have bluntly refused
to restructure the WICBC'S 90 years old Structure , despite commissioning several Reports .

They are buttressed by the fact that at least 2 Governments in the Region
are in their Camp .This is a classic
case of Divide & Conquer .

Meanwhile the MIMIC MEN in the WICBC
relish behaving like those who they
inherited the WICBC , but were of a
different Pigmentation .

You need to understand the stark fact
that ALL the Players on Teams that are ranked above our Team Play More First
Class Matches than Our Players , this
is precisely why WE ARE WHERE WE ARE .

When Our Players are going to play another Country in the International
Cricket Arena . I generally compare
the First Class Stats of their Players with the First Class Stats of Our Players ; the difference is
exceedingly Stark , and as a result
the outcome of Matches is seldom in
doubt .

IN THIS REGION CRICKET IS TREATED AS

A HOBBY .HOWEVER IN OTHER COUNTRIES

CRICKET IS A VERY SERIOUS BUSINESS .

Imagine Our Teams are hovering at or
near the Bottom of International Cricket , yet the Worst International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth , ak the WICBC , decided to call our Team THE WINDIES, this in my opinion is Farcical , when consideration is given to the standing of Our Team in the International Cricket Arena .

I am addressing the freaking fact that
Players on most Teams Our Players play against have played more First Class
matches than Our Players .

The fact is that the number of Persons playing Cricket in England ; Australia ; Sri Lanka ; India ; Pakistan ;
Bangladesh ; New Zealand South Africa
due to their total Populations , outnumber the number of Cricketers in
Our Region .

Obviously more Persons are playing in those Countries than in this Region . the competitiveness of their Players in their Domestic
Tournaments obviously ensures that
their National Teams Play much more
First Class Matches than Our Players .
The freaking fact also is that it was only about 8 years ago that it
finally dawned on the WICBC that WE
Should have a Regional Cricket League .

Allow me to once again restate a freaking fact . The Glory Days of
West Indies Cricket were facilitated
mainly by the fact that Our Players
played Cricket in England , when not
representing the Region .

The Tour Schedule had Touring Teams
playing first class matches between the Test Matches .

WELL THAT TOUR SCHEDULE WAS CHANGED

TO THE CURRENT SCHEDULE .

ENGLAND DECIDED TO LIMIT THE NUMBER

OF PLAYERS IT ALLOWED TO PLAY

CRICKET IN ENGLAND .

NOW WHEN THE ABOVE CAME TO FRUITION

THE PEOPLE IN THE GOVERNANCE OF WEST

INDIES CRICKET , SAT ON THEIR ASSES

AND DID NOT EVEN CONTEMPLATE HAVING

A REGIONAL CRICKET LEAGUE .

This is precisely why WE are where
WE currently are in International
Cricket . Slowly but surely the
Competitiveness of Our Players started diminishing .

These two unmistakable facts can never ever be refuted by Anyone .
In essence in the Glory Days of West
Indies Cricket most of the Players
who represented the Region were employed elsewhere , when not representing the Region .

THEY WERE THEREFORE SUPREMELY FIT

WHEN THEY REPRESENTED THE REGION .

THAT AINT THE CASE NOW .

FIND OUT HOW MANY OF OUR PLAYERS

ARE EMPLOYED PLAYING FIRST CLASS

CRICKET WHEN NOT REPRESENTING THE

REGION ????

This has in my opinion a significant
impact on the competitiveness of Our
Players in the International Cricket
Arena .

YOU are absolutely correct in your assessment . Those who decided some years ago to change the International Tour Schedule , are now feeling the pain of changing the International Tour Schedule , that allowed the
Visiting Team time to get acclimatized
to the conditions in the Host Country.

Make absolutely no mistake the changing of the Touring Schedule was
put in place to dilute the potency
of the visiting Team .

This change was done mainly , in my opinion to ensure that the Host Team
gets an advantage over the visiting Team .

This is precisely why Our Team is generally invited to Tour England in
Spring , at a time when Our Players
are unaccustomed to cold weather .

These things are very carefully choreographed to benefit the Host Team .
