WICB royally committed a self-screw by preferring Phil Simmons and Clayton Lambert to Carlisle Best, in my opinion, Carlisle was heads and shoulders over Simmons and Lambert.

Carlyle Best was indeed a wonderful talent. Just last week a friend was raving about his talents and told me he saw him chip to Walsh at Sabina and hit him in the George Headley stand. From the mouth of Desmond Haynes, Otto was in his opinion the best Caribbean batsman not to play test cricket.
